Pace of play was the only downside

I typically have this course in a rotation of 3-4 courses in the area. Never have an issue with the course. It’s not the most beautiful, but it’s not the worst. Green fees are a great price. My only issue this last visit was the pace of play. I found myself backed up on the front 9 behind 2-3 groups. This is the only time I’ve ever experienced a back up that bad at this course. Other than that, everything else was great. Oh and the pro shop was out of hot dogs, but it was about 3:00 when I hit the turn so it’s understandable.

Fair Price - Needs a little TLC

First the bad:

- Had a 9:55 tee time and the course was somehow behind 25 minutes that early in the day?

- Range mats were basically like hitting off concrete

- Greens were slow (but consistent) but definitely need some care

Now the good:

- Once we got going, a 4.5 hour round for a fully booked course is not bad

- The course has some awesome views and I personally love all the par 3s! They all have some character

- I paid $35 which is definitely a fair price for what you get

I played on Father’s Day and it was quite busy. Teed off about 15 minutes late and had to wait on a few tee boxes. Usually when I play here I don’t have to wait. But the ranger was riding around doing his job and was quite friendly. Once we got to the turn he gave us the option to go back and replay the front again rather than the back due to there being 2 groups waiting on the 10th to tee off which I didn’t mind. The bathrooms out on the course were very clean and I was quite surprised and the older couple making the food and drinks were awesome as well. The greens were ok seemed to have some spots that needed to have some grass grow into but the fairways and tee boxes were good. Great for the price right now.
