About
Marcus Pointe Golf Club tumbles across 600 acres of rolling woodlands, which is a rare occurrence in the mostly flat Panhandle area. The back nine is where golfers really begin to notice the dramatic undulations. Earl Stone, who has designed several Gulf Coast golf courses, created the layout. He has built his reputation on building playable and affordable courses. While water may not come into play often, golfers will still be kept on their toes by the numerous sand bunkers and an abundance of trees and of course, the tricky angles and elevation changes throughout. The golf course is challenging but fair with a playability that appeals to golfers of all skill levels. The greens are well manicured and keep all abilities in mind. Four sets of tees make Marcus Pointe Golf Club even more accessible.

Fast greens
Greens were very fast. Ball would not hold. Some of the more undulating greens were very challenging. Even with a good shot the ball could roll quite far. Other than that the course player very nicely.
Great Course, Lots of Waiting
The course itself and the clubhouse is great and the twilight rates are almost unbeatable. The only real issue with the course was the pace of play. Maybe it was just this day but we had 4 groups waiting on one tee box from the 12th till the end of the round. If you bring a friend and are don’t mind a little waiting this is definitely a great place to play.

Overseed!
The first winter in 5 years I've been in Pensacola that any local course has oversewed for the winter!! Fantastic!! Greens in great shape too!

Fine and Fast Round
Wednesday midday toured around in three hours and 20 minutes. Many postage stamp size greens with lots of borrow makes finishing challenging and on this day the greens rolled very true. Nice winter rye over seeding. Course in great shape.

Beautiful Course
This was my first time playing this course and it was gorgeous. We saw some of the groundskeeping staff while playing and they asked how the conditions were from where I just hit and if it needed to be a little shorter. Great staff and grounds crew. Keep up the good work!

Now I remember
Now I remember why I stopped playing this course 3 years ago. To their credit the greens have improved significantly and are actually decent. The rest of the course is practically unplayable with little to no grass in the fairways and especially scarce around the greens. I read some of the other recent reviews and thought I would give it a try. Not worth coming back

Much improved
I understand new management fixed a lot of issues. Greens look way better and are actually playable. I gave up hope on the course a year ago and this visit I was pleasantly surprised. I just hope they can maintain for the long term. They are even patching the fairways. Much, much appreciated and very enjoyable now.
