Marcus Pointe Golf Club
About
Marcus Pointe Golf Club tumbles across 600 acres of rolling woodlands, which is a rare occurrence in the mostly flat Panhandle area. The back nine is where golfers really begin to notice the dramatic undulations. Earl Stone, who has designed several Gulf Coast golf courses, created the layout. He has built his reputation on building playable and affordable courses. While water may not come into play often, golfers will still be kept on their toes by the numerous sand bunkers and an abundance of trees and of course, the tricky angles and elevation changes throughout. The golf course is challenging but fair with a playability that appeals to golfers of all skill levels. The greens are well manicured and keep all abilities in mind. Four sets of tees make Marcus Pointe Golf Club even more accessible.

Great layout!
Enjoyed the course! It was a nice layout as had big bunkers and nice greens. It had several tough doglegs. It was very enjoyable!
SLOW!!
IMHO no golf course should allow more than 4 golfers to play together. We got behind a fivesome and they were not very skilled either. Nor did they even once invite us to play thru.
Good Value
Course in great shape. Tough pin placements made greens very difficult but enjoyed the course.
Still cleaning up
It will take a while longer to clean up all the hurricane debris, which really only comes into play with errant shots. Kudos to all those who continue to work hard to clean up the mess!
This course has tough greens
Course was not on good condition due to hurricane damage
Post hurricane Sally
This course normally scores about a C for me. It was aliitle worse today because of the fallen trees and brush from the hurricane. Probably a D today. We played here because my favorite course at the Navy base has been shut down due to hurricane devastation. This corse has some descent holes. However there are several things that I don’t like such as the tee boxes are not level, the fairways are not maintained well, the bunkers are hard pan, and the greens and holes are bumpy. A couple of the pins are on a ridiculous slope even for a pro. I would expect a greens fee with cart should be under $30 compared to other golf courses in this area.
Excellent course for the money
The course is in the best shape....Layout is exceptional and you have to think on every shot. Many doglegs....Nice snack bar....The Chicken salad is the best!
Course in good shape.
Couldn't buy a putt but greens in good shape and had plenty of good chances.
