About
Marcus Pointe Golf Club tumbles across 600 acres of rolling woodlands, which is a rare occurrence in the mostly flat Panhandle area. The back nine is where golfers really begin to notice the dramatic undulations. Earl Stone, who has designed several Gulf Coast golf courses, created the layout. He has built his reputation on building playable and affordable courses. While water may not come into play often, golfers will still be kept on their toes by the numerous sand bunkers and an abundance of trees and of course, the tricky angles and elevation changes throughout. The golf course is challenging but fair with a playability that appeals to golfers of all skill levels. The greens are well manicured and keep all abilities in mind. Four sets of tees make Marcus Pointe Golf Club even more accessible.

Great course but...
I love the lay out of this course. The only bad thing about the course itself is some of the greens aren't in good condition (i.e patchy new grass or weeds). With the staff everytime i play here there is an older lady that works the Desk for tee times. She is very disrespectful, gets mad when I use a Golfnow deal for the course and says I cant play on my own that I must be paired with someone. Other than that great course for the value.

Golf Day
Pace was a little slow as a twosome so we paired with another two in front of us-they had a group of 5 ahead of them. Nice course and as always can be challenging.
Slow Play
Just do not think courses should allow five-somes out as they destroy the pace of play. Nice track, course needs some work cart paths busted up in few places. Will try this course again when it is green.
Fun day out after cold
Always a nice course and usually busy but decent pace of play. Beverage girl around several times and course is always challenging.

Golf course was in excellent condition. Great layout! Used every club in my bag!
Nice day
The weather was good, the pace of play was good the staff in the restaurant was very friendly overall a nice day on the golf course.
Greens in less than optimal condition
Greens were lumpy and vey slow. In our group of four, very few putts were made.
Good Value
Course in pretty good condition overall. Greens rolling well and in good condition as well. Several fairways had some bare sandy spots, but not uncommon for FL courses. New golf carts were a nice bonus.
Keeps Improving
This course's condition keeps getting better through the year. The greens are very good and speeding up nicely. Most of the tees have filled in, and even the notoriously poor fairways in #3 and #5 are looking good. Well worth the rate.
Marcus Pointe in Good Shape Right Now
I've played Marcus Pointe 15-20 times. Right now the course is in very good shape. The greens look deceptively slow but the ball rolled true and a little quicker than expected. The fairways and tee boxes were also in good shape, especially given the time of year. Saw the cart girl 3 times so it was a very enjoyable day. The only knock against the course was the number of singles that came up on us. We played during prime time (10:30) on Saturday yet 3 singles came up on us. At some point they should've been paired up.
