Getting better!
This course has come a long way over the last eight months. Greens and tee boxes are in great condition but fairways need a lot of work! Staff is top notch. Friendly, knowledgeable and professional!
The course is returning to being great again
Golf pro Mark Faulkner and his team are working hard to bring the course back. The greens and tee boxes are in great shape. The fairways are coming back. The summer rains and continued work by the grounds crew will insure it’s return to excellence! Keep up the fine work!

Needs Work
Playing hear alot lately because the price is reasonable even in high season. It has been crowded though. Lots of wind causes the ball to go wayward, so more shots equals slower play. If the cart baths were repaved, the course would look that much better, and probably easier on the carts not hitting potholes.

Excellent Greens, tee boxes okay, fairways poor
We found the greens to be in excellent condition. Tee boxes were okay. Fairways and other general areas need lots of work. In numerous cases there was no grass, some weeds. A few holes did have reasonable fairways but for the most part that was not the case. Bunkers were in pretty good condition. I would expect that conditions will improve since there was evidence that areas of concern are being addressed.

Port Charlotte Golf Club
Played with a couple of friends visit from KY. Sunny day but very windy and had to use an extra club or two in approaching greens. Nice course, well maintained and good layout. We were a threesome with 3 ahead of us but they were very slow. Probably cost our group 30-45 mins on the round. Cart girl came around several times. Onerall a good day and enjoyed.
Needs work
Patchy fairways and rough. Greens were in good shape , but slow. Interesting course layout. Range hits off old mats.

Port Charlotte Golf Club....we will come back!
Great value, friendly staff, liked the course layout. Some sneaky water, sand and rolly polliness to the fairways. Course gets lots of play but pace was very good. They have a putting green and driving range and brand new electric carts.. Fairways this time of year a tad dry and bare. Greens we're in great shape though. Full length course with many tee box options. We will definitely play again!

Golf now price was 47 dollars the course only charged 32. Fairways have sparse coverage. Course needs alot of water on it. Greens were decent though and rolled true.

good layout
The course has a good layout, some challenging holes. Conditions are boney in the fairways. Tee boxes and greens are pretty good. Course needs work

Poor fairways
Staff was very nice, they warned us before our round that the fairways needed a lot of work and new ownership was working on it. Should be a decent course if they get the fairways in shape.

GO ELSEWHERE
Despite rates being lower at this place (we paid $35), the savings aren't worth playing this dump. While the greens and the tees are fine, all the land in between is a complete wasteland as is the driving range. There is hardly any real grass on the fairways, the ground is very sandy, and without a sprinkler system, I am not sure how they will ever renovate this place. The best plan for the new owners in my opinion would be to sell of the parcel to a builder for a new development. Will never go there again.

Have played here many times over the past years. The conditions are the worst ever. Almost no grass on fairways and every ball was a mud ball. Check in staff very friendly and up front about course conditions. Greens were always firm, fast and true no matter what shape the fairways were in, but that is no longer the case. New ‘Elite’ brand carts were the nicest I’ve driven. Pace of play for late morning tee time was 3hrs and 15 min.
