I love golf
If you play everyday like I do then you don’t sweat the details. I need friendly people working and playing at a course. I got that here and had a great time with the 3 young fellas I got matched up with. I had a fun day and we didn’t let the poor tee box maintenance or the dirt patches in some fairways deter us...it may bother you if that detail bothers you. It’s a pretty wide open layout for big hitters but has a few tight iron tee par 4s that may get you working it so beware. Good luck and have fun!
Little better vreens
Green could have been a little better kept up, but not real bad.
Wouldn’t go again
Poor condition not worth $38, glad we only paid $16. Horrible rough, like cement with grass.
Good for scoring
Wide open, not much water challenge. Greens were mostly good, pretty fast. Should be able to score well.
This course is thirsty my friends
If you like concrete greens, you’ll love Port Charlotte.
Friendly course
Course in good condition for this time of year. Fast greens, wide fairways, and acceptable pace of play.
Looking to sell
this course is suffering. Rumors they a in the process of selling and that would tell you why they are doing little to keep course up. Not even worth the price.
Nice Layout but Course Needs Maintenance Attention
Lots of interesting holes unfortunately course maintenance is sufffeting.
The greens have not been watered for awhile and they wre loke putting on pavement.
Going downhill
Condition of tee boxes and fairways was poor. Used to be much better. They wouldn't honor a coupon from the local paper. Said it was published without their permission. I called the paper and was told they always get a signature authorizing publication. I heard the course was about to be sold so maybe that is why they are neglecting maintenance.
FIRST TIMER
THE COURSE IS OK BUT FOR THE MONEY IT WAS GOOD VALUE. THE INSIDE STAFF/STARTER WHO WAS A JACK OF ALL TRADES WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO MAKE YOU FEEL AT HOME. MY PLAYING PARTNERS WERE FRIENDLY AND OVERALL IT WAS A LOVELY DAY,
Fast greens
Very fast greens and hard to hold. They do tool true though. Do not be above the hole. They do not overseed and there are some hard pan and bare lies. Elevated greens are particularly difficult since greens are so firm. If you love hard fast greens give it a go.
