Great day
I enjoyed my round at St Lucie Trail. The greens are great and the fairways are in good shape. The rough is typical Florida rough so no concern. The staff were very friendly and helpful so the day could not have been better. I do find it difficult that there is no way to determine the pin position from a distance without a laser. The flags are all white and do not follow a rotation of any sort. It makes it difficult when you only have a Garmin watch. This could be resolved thus my reason for commenting on it.
This golf course is in excellent condition.
The staff was very courteous and friendly. The golf course is in excellent condition along with golf fees is very reasonable.
The Bar & Grill on site food selection and cocktails is outstanding.
Cart service
We are close to season and the course was in amazing condition. It would be nice to have cart service at least on the weekends. Otherwise everything was great.
Nice track
It's a 35 minute drive for us, but it's worth it, especially at $31. We've played it 4 times, in great shape every time. Some "target" golf. Just when you think all's going well, it'll bite you!
Solid-to-above-average Florida golf
Formerly the private PGA Country Club, St. Lucie Trail is now a public-access track, but has managed to stay solid despite becoming much more accessible and affordable. Good news for area golfers.
The Jim Fazio design won't appear on any top-100 lists, but it is a pretty consistently good challenge, especially off the tee, as fairway bunkers and some OB can make things feel a little tight at times, though certainly not as egregiously as other FL courses. The course is in really good shape, especially for the money, making it a nice value play. The recently renovated restaurant has provided some freshness to a clubhouse that is nice but starting to show some signs of age. Worth playing if you're in the area, potentially as a bolt-on to the PGA Village courses.
Great Course! Slow Play!
The course was tight and challenging as always! It's worth driving 60 miles! A shot makers course! Greens were fantastic and were rolling true! Some of the bunkers need some work, otherwise an exceptional track!
As a single the round should have been played in three hours or less, instead of four, but there was a foursome in front & they wouldn't let me through. A foursome should always let a single through and the single shouldn't have to ask!
The lack of golf etiquette that you encounter these days at many courses is astounding!
Ridiculously slow play
Took almost 5.5 hours to play a round because they let 2 group of 8 people play together on the same hole. No ranger and no common sense to say no we can’t do that it will affect the pace of play for everyone for the whole day. The last hole of the day I have a picture of 8 guys taking forever on the green. One of the longest worst rounds I’ve ever played.
Top notch golf
Great course
No longer part of pga village but still premier golf course
All services
Great Shape
The course is still in great shape after taking over from PGA. Nothing has change from the course standards but the lunch wasn't to good, not much on the menu and just didn't taste good.
Spectacular
The St Lucie Trail is magnificent. It’s a shot makers paradise with little forgiveness off the tee. It has tremendous character, it’s a must see course.
Great time
I drove from Miami to meet my nephew at Port St Lucie trail course. The staff was great, from the pro shop to the snack bar, and the starter. The course was in great shape and we played the 18 holes in under 4 hours. We had a blast. I will definitely go back again!
Quality, value, fun
3rd time playing-more fun every round. There's so many features in the layout that it requires multiple rounds to learn the optimal risk/reward combo. We also used golf boards on this cloudy day. Boards tripled the fun and speed-split up, drive right up to green and tee boxes and stay loose mentally and physically between shots. The staff is very friendly including the grounds crew.
Very nice layout. Old Fla type Fabio design.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant will be opening next week so we’ll check it out next time.
Unfortunately the rains and storms hit as we were finishing the 9th hole. Can’t wait to return.
Thx for your hospitality.
Great, well maintained course, with a very friendly and helpful staff!
Convenient bag drop, very friendly cart attendant, carts well maintained, pro shop well stocked with very friendly check in, very well maintained fairways, very well maintained greens, challenging but fair layout. I don't know what more anyone could ask for. Highly recommend you play this course.
Lovely course
The course is in perfect condition. The pro shop staff, starter and the groundskeepers are all very friendly.
WET
This is NOT the course to play after a good amount of rain. Does not have good drainage and was extremely wet.
I apologize for the rain and hope to have you back to play on a dryer day. I do not understand why we received a bad rating though?
