Great to practice your short game
Great place to practice your short irons. I played a round in 2hrs for $15. The course looked better than TICC. Really friendly staff and they have a nice small but new clubhouse. I'll play a practice round here every week.
Nice executive course
Always a great place to play for a the shorter executive course.
Staff is very friendly and always quick to lend a hand.
Great value for the fees.
Wish they had late afternoon tee times!
Short course with highway traffic
Tough to recommend the course. Friendly staff welcome you and make you feel welcome. We played the back nine and four or five holes were along I75 which was not the best atmosphere for golf. Wish I could say better. If you want to get out and hit the ball cost effectively do it!
Short and sweet!
I’ve been only golfing a year, Blue Heron Pines in Punta Gorda turned out to be the perfect spot to checkout. The course is short and technical, which made it both fun and challenging without being overly punishing — especially for someone like me who’s still getting into the swing of things.
I showed up around 11:30 and got paired up with another solo golfer who had a similar skill level and knew the course well, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable round. The pace of play was solid, and we moved along without much waiting.
Course conditions were solid — I’d give it a 4 out of 5. Fairways and layout were in great shape, but some of the greens were a little patchy, which made putting a bit tricky at times. That said, the layout kept things interesting. There are some tight fairways with water on both sides, island-style approach shots around 80–100 yards out, and a of hole with a giant billboard you have to play around. Definitely made for a memorable afternoon.
Didn’t take full advantage of the amenities, but I did grab a right-handed glove from the pro shop — nothing fancy, but it got the job done. Cart was included with the round, and the whole thing only cost me around $30 thanks to a GolfNow hot deal.
All in all, I’d absolutely recommend this course to newer players or anyone looking for a laid-back but engaging round. Great value, interesting layout, and a good time all around.
Great short course for a quick 9 or 18 holes
This our go to course when we want a leisure day at golf course. Staff exceptional. New club house is an excellent addition.
Very pushy staff
The entire time we were there we kept being warned about not to do this or that. We were eventually kicked off the golf course after being watched by one member of the staff. This came after being warned for letting people play ahead of us because we are not that good and didn’t want to be rushed. It felt like being babysat against our wills.
Short game
Par 60 course with worn out tee boxes, fairly decent fairway grass and slow greens which sometimes had some crabgrass or something in a few spots.
It's a good value for short game and strategy practice. The starter is super nice.
Great course
The course was in great shape and made me use irons that normally just stayed in my bag. Friendly staff and affordable prices made for a great experience!
