We haven’t played golf in months and we were looking for an “executive” style course with some challenges. Seminole Lakes hit all the wants and needs. Great round of golf. Friendly & efficient staff. Wonderful round of golf.

There were 16 carts lined up ahead of us to start on the back 9. Our tee time was delayed by over an hour due to an house event ahead of us. Then play was painfully slow.

After waiting in line for 30 minutes, I was sure not to be aggressive, rude or impatient and asked the starter if there was a reason some groups were not going off front bc there had been no groups teeing off the front in the last 30 minutes. In a sarcastic, unwelcoming voice he responded with, well you don’t know much about golf do you. My response- wow that was unfriendly, I did not ask you for your opinion regarding my golf knowledge, I asked a reasonable question considering the long wait. He then continued to explain how if groups were sent off the front, there would be a bottle neck at the turn around. . I then explained that

If only a few groups in the back nine line went off the front there would not be a bottle neck at the turn. (By alternating first nine, then 2nd nine groups the tee offs should only be about 8 -10 minutes behind. Do this 3 times, and the tee times become is only 24-30 minutes late. This would likely cut the overall wait time half.Not sure if my explanation was clear. Did I say the cart backfired and bottomed out. Not mpressed.

Course does have some difficult holes due to having to hit over water. Greens are in good shape and are not easy to read. Most greens are crowned so you have to land the ball on the green, If you try to run it up your ball may roll right off.

I had a foursome with a 9 AM tee time at Seminole.

It wasn’t very busy and we completed our round in about 3 hours 20 minutes. The course was in pretty good shape. Staff was courteous and helpful. We had a good time.

Had a nice round at Seminole Lake. Pace of play was good and we saw the monster gator on hole 18. You could make mint on wallets and belts on that big boy! Nineteenth hole was amazing with Rebecca and crew, they are such nice people! Looking forward to our next outing.

Let me just sum up this terrible experience with a factoid that Golf Now customers are not welcome at this course. Dishonest starter. Nonchalant man at check-in. I paid $20.00. Played 1/2 (that’s right one-half) hole. I guess you get what you pay for.
