Fun course lot of par 3-4
I had a great time course was fun houses on each side are good distance from course and a couple tough water holes makes it a challenge.
Overall good day
We had a great time playing this course! We started off following a slow foursome but we’re able to move along fine on the back nine. Seems most people were only playing nine holes because of the heat. Looking forward to the nineteenth hole to open with Joanie and Beverly next week. See you soon!
The pace of play was extremely slow over four hours to play in executive course. No bar no restaurant. The course was in pretty good shape I would play there again.
The chorus was average at best
Overall for the money I paid through tee off I got my moneys worth disappointed no 19th hole. We ended up going to a sports bar down the road and most everybody in there had just finished playing golf at Seminal‘s. Seems to me they would open up the bar in the restaurant do the business right there?
Nice to play
Great place to get the irons out and hone your game. Greens have improved over the summer and fairways are plush and thick. Enjoy a nice round for a nice price.
Friendly Staff
Visiting from Indiana. Stopped in by GolfNow reservation. Course is so nice, almost as nice as the Ranger and other staff, :) want to come back soon
Course Closed
Got to the course and found it was closed.
Did not get a refund for this occasion. Why not?
Horrible experience
I am new to golf and have spent the summer learning this sport. I have been welcomed on all courses, playing in the 100 degree heat and at off times as to not be in the way of others. I played for the first time at Seminole Lakes on Saturday and it will be my last! Yes I’m slow but I make sure to not be in the way of others. My group were the only golfers (4) on the course, we took our time. I was learning and practicing through out our game. The course was wet, muddy and overgrown and finding lost balls was a chore. Throughout it all we laughed and had fun. By the time we left the course at 3 pm we were exhausted. It was returning the cart where we were met with disgust and rudeness. We were told basically that when the snowbirds returned we would not be allowed on the course- for taking too long!!! Again no one was on this course while we attempted playing on a soaked muddy course! This person collecting golf carts also told us he had been waiting for us to finish and he doesn’t get paid….. Horrible experience- it has left me paranoid to try another course for fear “ I won’t be fast enough”.
Terrible conditions, ugly attitude
After our round, we were told by the 'ranger' at the cart drop: 'once the snowbirds come back next week, they won't even let you play here.' Our offense? We were slow. On an EMPTY golf course on a Saturday afternoon. There was literally not a single other group on the course. Nobody waited for us. We have some new golfers in our group. Are we slow? Sure - we also paid for 18 holes that nobody else seemed to be lined up to play.
In addition to being new and slow, we battled a horribly maintained course with standing water on nearly every hole of the front 9 caused by sprinklers being left on too long (according to a friendly attendant at the turnaround), unkempt greens where we had to play around the scabs caused by poor maintenance, and mowing ruts on every fairway. Not to mention trying to find balls on a shaggy course.
This person then went on to tell us that he 'doesn't even get paid' and had to wait for us to get off the course. Which seems like a bad choice on his part and not really our problem. Maybe don't volunteer for work you should get paid to do.
The gals in the clubhouse were super friendly, as were the cart attendants when we arrived. But day was fairly ruined by the salty unpaid help at the end of the day.
We will be sure not to spend our time or our money on this course.
A gem
A short way south of downtown Punta Gorda, Seminole Lakes offered some new challenges on an executive length course. The water holes were scary at first but proved manageable.
Greens are just as fast
I enjoyed my round at Seminole Lakes. Greens and fairways were great. If you venture into the rough lookout. Green speeds were fast as always. My only wish would be flags that indicated where the hole was.
Closed and was not advised
I'm a little upset because I booked and paid for a round of golf through golf now and when I entered the community the guard at the gate advised me the course was closed. I am upset that I was not notified so I could make other arrangements. Now I am apparently out the green fees I paid
Fun round
We had a good time. Greens were in good shape compared to the reviews written a month ago. Great place to focus on short game. Bring bug spray we got chewed. Bring extra balls because this course swallowed a dozen balls right off the fairway. Height of rough and wetness I’m sure they are plugged deep.
