Summerfield Crossings Golf Club
About
Summerfield Crossings Golf Club is a fun Scottish links style championship golf course designed by Ronald Garl. There are many moguls and palm trees that come into play throughout the course. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has wide, gently rolling fairways, but do not underestimate the challenge. You must keep the ball on target thanks to pot bunkers, waste areas and small, undulating greens. The signature hole is No. 6, a 171-yard, par 3 that calls for a carry over water to a small peninsula green. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has a wide, gently rolling fairways.

Average corse for average price
Visiting this area and found this course for a place to play 18. Price was good, pace of play was average but the course could have been in better shape. The greens had crabgrass patches all over. Not sure why. The course layout was good. I would say go there for a decent value.
Good stuff
Course was in pretty decent shape for December. Pace of play was fine. Course was interesting.
Summerfield 27 Dec 2023
Greens were excellent!! Noting this area of Florida is in an extreme drought, the fairways needed more grass. There were a lot of tight lies.
Pace of play
This course was terrible, up to 4 groups piled up on one hole. Not to mention the course was soaking wet, no rain no nothing. Pretty upset by all this.
Potential
Front nine is far better than back.
Back nine is rough, houses encrouch more.
Overall, not bad.
its all about the money
I play this course often. Or at least I did. it was bought by a conglomerate a year or so ago...along with cyprus and bloomingdale. Props for putting some effort in the quality of the courses....but that has led to overbooking, poor management and lowering the quality of play. It took us 3 hours to play the front nine on Friday. We actually waited 20 minutes to tee off on the third hole. It was backed up by 4 groups. And when the group in front of us decided to quit and skip the back nine, they allowed walk ons to go off in front of us on the back nine. We were already waiting 10 minutes minimum to tee off on each hole. It was the worst management of play on a course that i can recall. And because we were a golf now guest...they did nothing as far as a credit. It will be awhile when I go back...and i only live 2 miles away. I will drive farther to have a better experience. And the funny part is they push membership of their courses so hard. You couldnt pay me to pay them each month to play under those conditions. Pace off play is so important. Its one thing to be behind some disrespectful golfers playing slow. Its so another when the slow pace of play is created by a Greedy course booking too many groups of players, Stay away til summer when they are begging people to play.
Amazing Place to Play Golf!!!
Outstanding experience and golf course!!! Greens and T-Boxes are in great shape. Green has a slope to it and run fast. Course is definitely not easy but not too hard either. I left a few birdies out there. All on me. They will tend to pair you with another twosome. The cart has a GPS and yardage too! Extremely cool! Has a breakfast buffet there too! I wasn't able to make it, but I heard it's awesome!
I will be back for sure to try it! Course wasn't too pack too! I definitely recommend and will be back!
Overbooked course. Started at 3:00 pm and had 2 foursomes in front of us by hole 3. Had to wait 20 minutes at each hole. Only able to get 10 holes completed before dark.
Really need a ranger!
This course needs a ranger bad. They force you to play in foursomes, but then even on the first tee they are breaking into two domes and really slowing down the pace of play. They are doing all kinds of upgrades to the course but not to the quality of play. I would not recommend the course or return to it until they correct the pace of lay issues.
Great layout
Enjoyed the course from tee to green. The course was in great condition from tee to green as long as you kept close to the fairways a little rough away from the fairways but fairways are wide. The greens are in great shape and tricky due to not many flat spots great to see greens like that in Florida. I'm looking forward to returning to play again.
Course cancelled our tee-time the night before.
The night before we were going to play this course on Saturday morning, we received an e-mail. The e-mail stated that they were unable to accommodate our reservations due to an outing that grew larger than expected. That is not our problem and to cancel the night before means its next to impossible to find another course for Saturday morning at this time. I recommend that even if you want to play this course that you not play out of principle for what they could do to you.
