Summerfield Crossings Golf Club
About
Summerfield Crossings Golf Club is a fun Scottish links style championship golf course designed by Ronald Garl. There are many moguls and palm trees that come into play throughout the course. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has wide, gently rolling fairways, but do not underestimate the challenge. You must keep the ball on target thanks to pot bunkers, waste areas and small, undulating greens. The signature hole is No. 6, a 171-yard, par 3 that calls for a carry over water to a small peninsula green. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has a wide, gently rolling fairways.

Summerfield Crossing Sept-2024
Great round of golf on a very nice golf course. Par 3 on the Island Green #15. What a great hole!!!
Good course
With all the rain the area has had, the course was in good condition. Greens were fast. The staff there were very friendly.

Good value
First time playing this course Course will challenge you but fair. Island green will be back
Great shape
Play early or play slow.
The course is in great shape. The tee boxes are a little rough because people are swinging shovels and not filling in the divots.
The rough is wet bc the of drainage but if you hit it straight you won’t have that problem.

The upgrade to the practice facility is above par. Excellent condition and excellent layout. However, the course does not drain well for this time of year is extremely soggy. Made the conditions hard to play in cart path only. Staff is friendly to an extent. Overall the quest does not drain well, which takes away from its splendor.
Challenging
We got started early as first timers it started out being really tough the stroke 1 came in early and played really difficult the course is a challenge but I’m sure if you play the forward tees it would be more accommodating I’m sure that now that we have some course knowledge we will do a lot better however if you want to play golf this is a real golf course
Saturday Golf
Course is in good shape, especially for summer in FL. Pace of play is terrible. Tee times are way too close together. Took 3 hours to play the front nine. Luckily, some people quit, so the back nine was a little faster
Too hot!
Course was in very good shape and we enjoyed ourselves. I could only say it would’ve been much more enjoyable if it was about 75° instead of 95°. Will definitely be going back.
Good course, good value
Great course conditions great pace of play in the afternoon. Lacking water on the course. Cartgirl came around quite often though. Would recommend this course and I will definitely be back to play
Bitter Sweet
Nice Course. I played here last year, and for some reason, it was a little more difficult this time around. The course was in good shape; I just had trouble navigating it with the new Ai Calaway clubs. I'm coming back for some revenge!
Slowwwwwwww
This is a 4 hour course
They were behind on the front right away so they starter sent us off them cal and we playing led in less than two hours
Finished in the front and tye pace went from 12 minutes a hole to over 20
2.5 hours later we finished
Not sure they marshal the course effectively
Challenging course
This course has a significant amount of water, sand and other hazards, making it a challenge for most golfers. Carts have built-in GPS which is really helpful for determining yardage to front, center and back of green. Food and beverages are available at the clubhouse and while you’re out on the course.
Solid option for Tampa
A few months ago I rated this course poorly due to bad experiences regarding pace of play. I wanted to revise my review and be more fair to the course after a few of my recent rounds here. The course is a very solid option for Tampa residents willing to make the 30min drive over for the day. They have increased their ranger presence and improved the pace of play drastically. They are no longer pushing out tee times 15minutes before their start time and clogging up the course (At least on the weekdays). The conditions are consistently good and the course is fun and challenging. Greens roll true, tee boxes are well maintained, and fairways are in good shape. Overall, Summerfield is one of my top 3 favorite courses to play in the Tampa area! If they continue to improve their issues regarding pace of play and commit to ensuring groups are completing their round at the time of play it has the potential to receive 5 stars because of fair pricing and consistent conditions.
Yesterdays round
Greens have been punched recently so putts diverting from where you aim them will happen. Fairway on #13 is still in crummy shape. But still an enjoyable place to play.
Recent round
Greens are in great condition and the only fairway I would complain about is #13( been that way for a while ).
