Summerfield Crossings Golf Club
About
Summerfield Crossings Golf Club is a fun Scottish links style championship golf course designed by Ronald Garl. There are many moguls and palm trees that come into play throughout the course. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has wide, gently rolling fairways, but do not underestimate the challenge. You must keep the ball on target thanks to pot bunkers, waste areas and small, undulating greens. The signature hole is No. 6, a 171-yard, par 3 that calls for a carry over water to a small peninsula green. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has a wide, gently rolling fairways.

Good course
We always play this course at least once when we vacation in the area. The par 3 island- like hole is always a challenge.
Summerfield
Pace of play is an issue. Not having a ranger to manage it with 7 minute tee times is the big problem. Just expect to be hanging out in the cart
Nice course
Course in good condition and well cared for. Only complaint would be ignorant golfers not repairing pitch marks on the greens
Book it!
Played it with some top rate golfers. You will not be disappointed.
Slow and Average at best
This course books tee times 7 minutes a part which is too close considering the carts look like a parade line from hole 1 to 18. They also have people who just skip around to find empty holes to play as much as possible. (Usually those with the PDP membership). They do not care about your experience here and cram as many people as possible on the course. They have a good course and plenty of people live close by so they are busy - however they don’t care about your experience on their course. They will have 5 carts with 6-7 people out as a group (I experienced that on this round and have seen many times I have played here), people just drive around and jumping in front of you. Leaving a review won’t change their poor management (cypress and bloomingdale are owned by the same group so expect the same treatment) but hopefully it prepares the new golfers who come here to play.
Excellent shape
First time playing this course and was pleasantly surprised by the shape it was in after the two hurricanes. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in great shape and dry. Also enjoyed playing with Boston College Scott (who was very good) and the pointers he gave! Highly recommend this course!
Oh well. It was a Saturday.
Course was in good shape considering all the rain this year. Pace was around 4 1/2 hours which isn't bad for a Saturday.
Not to shabby
Been a while since I've been here. A little soggy in places, but that's expected. Some greens need a little weed work as do some of the bunkers. All in all I recommend Summerfield Crossings
