Great course if you can get there...
Great course layout and in great shape. Community is still not built up after years of having a good golf course. Too far out of the way to have steady traffic on the course or the neighborhood it's supposedly located in. Do not play the tips unless you are long and accurate off the tee!
Great Course
Great course for intermediate to good golfers. Nice layout with holes that challenge your ability to hit the ball long and straight. My only issue was that there was no cart girl which I found odd for a semi-private course.
Long and beautiful
Fairway had a little winter damage but it was already being fixed. Greens were in super condition ! This course is really enjoyable. Sand traps are well maintained and are reasonable. This is a course that will please all glop hers, regardless
of their ability. Great value for the price.
always enjoyable
good track. greens rolled veryb true, not fast but good. worth the drive
Great layout with a tremendous collection of holes that offer a challenge to any level of golfer.
This course is a great mixture of holes from very challenging to very fair for the average golfer. I loved the driving options from the tee and the requirement to move the shot in both directions. The design of the greens which varied in size, were fairly flat and offered the ability to make a putt or lag it close from a long distance. Really enjoyed it and will be back. The course is still young and the fairways and tees need to mature.
Great Track
I've played here several times in the last four months. I still love the track however I'm not thrilled with some recent changes.
• Changed from quiet electric carts to noisy, slow gas carts.
• Now charge $10 per player to hit range balls!
• I was told they will convert greens from Bent to Bermuda grass. Was to be done in June but has been delayed.
I thought we're supposed to grow the game. Slow carts don't speed up play and high range fees don't encourage me to return. Especially after I spend an hour and a half driving to getting to the course.
Nice course
Overall great course.were doing work on tees and fairways, but didn't affect play. Greens were awesome.Very Fast.
Slow play
Two of us played and have played here several times. Pace of play is terrible. We played behind a foursome with no one ahead for 6 holes and would not let us play thru. I talked to pro after round and while I know the foursome has standing golf manners say let faster players thru. Pro said they had the priority so they have management on this course and would not go back. If you enjoy 5 to6 hour rounds you will love this course
Out of the way, but good value for money
Crystal falls is somewhat challenging to get to if you are coming in from Atlanta. However, when you get there, you will be rewarded with a course that is interesting to play but forgiving.
When I played (as a single), there was a lot of repair work going on which made some holes inconvenient, but I enjoyed my round.
There are couple of par 3s that require precision but overall, you are not penalized too much for missing fairways and greens.
I recommend you visit and play if you can.
Wow!
What a great course! I think this is one of the best unknowns in North Georgia. Reasonably priced, and a fantastic layout. Green were smooth and fast, but fair.
This course is a very good layout.
Course condition was not as good as usual. Lots of fairways and tees burned with fertilizer. Greens were hard and not holding shots too well but putted very well.
Still a very good course for the money..
Great value for the $
Great course, always have fun time.. Starters are super cool!
Try to play this course when there is NOT a member tournament going on as the outdoor patio is right on the 18th green and 10th tee box and the drunk members yelling at the buddies is pretty tacky unless your playing your local muni course where it's almost expected!
Other than that great time!
Challenging, hilly course
Tough course with really great views. Long par 4s and short 3s. Fairways weren't in terrific shape but greens were terrific.
Member for a day
This was an awesome day for golf, upper 70's and not a cloud in the sky. We were a twosome and was paired with a couple members. They where very nice and helped us navigate a challenging course. The course was in great shape and will be excellent in another month when it greens up. My only issue was the greens are rock hard and would not hold anything. It took me three or four holes to understand that you need to shoot for 10 yrds short and let it release. Otherwise what a hidden gem.
Great Place to play...
Golf course is in great condition. No beverage cart so stock up before teeing off. Great level changes so bring your range finder. Greens do not break as much as they look so beware but roll true.
Worth the drive and excellent value for money
On a beautiful Easter day went to play this course. I live in Atlanta so it took 1 hour to get there. But I found out it's worth the drive especially considering the mere 40 bucks I had to pay for a greenfee including cart on GolfNow. Can't beat that.
The course is beautiful with some nice views on he nearby Appalachian mountains, some creeks and lakes and lots of trees. Very nice.
The design is not spectacular, you won't remember most of the holes but it has some nice long par 4's. The par 3's and 5's are relatively weak except for the par 5 closing hole 18. The fairways were in bad condition but the greens were superb, fast and fair.
It was beautiful day, sunny and warm so we were craving a cold beer when we finished the round at 6.15 PM. But, to our horror, the bar had already closed! Bad deal and I'm sure all the flights behind us felt the same way. Also, there is no one driving around the course with drinks and food.
Nevertheless, it's a beautiful course, worth the drive and probably best value for money in north Georgia.
A gem in Dawsonville
Great layout with a good mix of short and long holes. Generally friendly off the tee with large and fairly flat greens. But plenty of twists and turns to make this one of my favorite area courses. Greens were in near perfect condition.
not ready yet
course still in winter mode, no fairway grass. greens not healed from verti-cut, but are very fast.
a first class golf course
This is a wonderful golf course for all levels. I am a 2 handicap and from the back tees it is all you want and the other tees also. It is always in great shape no what time of the year.
Played twice & both times in great shape, tee boxes thru greens
Took a group of 12 men from church & played. Course , pace of play & people @ course all a good experience. Asst pro Travis Wilson helpful in setting up tee times prior to event. Would recommend to play if you get the chance. Nice sceney & good mix of holes We played from white tees, I would prefer a little longer par 3's & little shorter par fours
