About
Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Riverside Golf Club in Ruskin is part of a peaceful retirement community. At just over 6,100 yards from the tips, the golf course is on the short side but it still offers an enjoyable round. From the back tees, the course actually presents quite a formidable test. The layout meanders along a creek before wandering across idyllic farmland and finishing along the river bluffs overlooking Hayes Bayou. The diverse terrain provides an array of scenery as well as a variety of different challenges. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides, waiting to swallow errant shots. Riverside Golf Club's layout combines more difficult holes with player-friendly features, which makes it approachable for players of any skill level.

Greens In Good Condition
Midday, mid-week round took exactly four hours playing as a foursome.Did let three singles play through. Staff (especially Norman) were all friendly and accommodating. Greens and bunkers were in very good condition. For the price this was a good course to play. Hope to return soon.

Riveerside
Another great time had at Riverview very friendly and professional staff. Easy drive from Riverview and pace of play is always good as they have dedicated course marshals ensuring that everybody is not just talking but playing golf......
Not busy after 11:30 am
Most of the time we thought we were the only ones on the course. Started at noon, done at 3:30 pm. Nice wide fairways. Take plenty with you to drink. No place to replenish after first 9. Overall I’d play here again soon.
Great value
The course is in great shape except for tee boxes but they are working on them. Greens are perfect and fairways are also in great shape.
Trailer Park? oops, not
This is actually a nice course for the price. It is designed like a gated housing community but it is a gated trailer park on a huge piece of property. Check the yardage, this is not a short course. It is pretty wide open with little chance of hitting a home. The course is very well maintained with typical Fl grass from tee to green. Staff was friendly but no cart person and you don't go by the club house at the turn. I am jealous of the folks who live here. An affordable golf community.
Great practice course!
If you’re used to playing high-end courses this is not for you. This is a great closed community course that has a well maintained course sitting in it. Positives of the course is that the layout is challenging yet fair. Negatives include uneven tee boxes, and very slow greens. This is more of a course you learn about placement of your irons and going after a pin. Great time out there though.

Average Course in a retirement community.
If you’re looking for an average course just to get out a golf this place is alright. It’s pretty well kept and in good shape. And the price is great. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Pace of play was good, never had to wait. (Wednesday midday tee time). However: the course layout is a little wacky, it plays super short and is not a regulation course. There are houses up and down several fairways very close with angry retirees waiting for the chance to come out and complain about a ball hitting their house. (This happened 3 times with the group I was playing with). There is no turn the course is just a big loop. No driving range. But overall had a fun time for a super affordable price.

August riverview
Course had been aerated and greens were sanded. If you got anywhere near green ball had zero roll. Once you got on the green it was super super slow. The fairways and tee boxes were in pretty good shape . At one point the ranger came by and told us that we were the only ones playing the course. Finished in a little under 3 hours. Not a great course but worth a round or two. Clubhouse and bar people were great.

Greens were recently punched. Putting was inconsistent. Fairways were okay. Some tee boxes need work

Good course but no water
Course was a good one overall. Good layout that made you think about the shots you were hitting and not take driver on every hole. Bunkers and greens were in great shape. Fairways and tee boxes weren’t perfect but we’re in generally good condition. Pace of play was good.
The biggest issue is that you don’t come back to the clubhouse at the turn, and there is no cart girl or water jugs around the course. In the middle of the summer, that was absolutely brutal. There was a vending machine at the 12 hole but that was it. Plan to bring lots of water with you.
