About
Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Riverside Golf Club in Ruskin is part of a peaceful retirement community. At just over 6,100 yards from the tips, the golf course is on the short side but it still offers an enjoyable round. From the back tees, the course actually presents quite a formidable test. The layout meanders along a creek before wandering across idyllic farmland and finishing along the river bluffs overlooking Hayes Bayou. The diverse terrain provides an array of scenery as well as a variety of different challenges. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides, waiting to swallow errant shots. Riverside Golf Club's layout combines more difficult holes with player-friendly features, which makes it approachable for players of any skill level.

Very Friendly Staff
The staff at Riverside are very friendly & helpful. The course, though, needs some work. Tee boxes were a mess. Greens were good but very tough to read for a first timer playing the course.
Warning.... lots of water!
Our foursome did have a fun time though.

Really Nice Course
Pace of play was a bit slow. Ranger should have been more present moving people along. Other than that, it is a great course in really good condition
Great layout.
I look at the course as an executive course on steroids.
The greens are in decent shape, some are slightly slower than most of them. So of course your games gets thrown off.
Everyone is friendly and very helpful, I've never had any issues for all my years of playing there. I don't think paying over $50 for a round there is quite worth it though.
Overall I enjoy the course and will always play there during the rainy days and when everywhere else is over priced.

Good Start for the holiday
I played Riverside before and like the course. Of course is in good shape unfortunately the greens had just been sanded on the day we golfed. They were still good it was just hard to get a read on the break and speed. Also if you book the hot deals don't plan on being there early. They won't let you go out before your tee time even if there is nobody on the tees.

Day Before My Birthday Round
Set up a round with my nephew and couple of friends. Had a great time as always staff was friendly and professional. Course was in great shape and pace of play was Birthday

THIS COURSE IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND ME AND MY WIFE ENJOYING THIS COURSE TEE BOXS ARE SET UP FOR THE RIGHT DISTANTS FOR ANY HANDICAP

Played last year and wasn’t impressed, went back this year and they have made great improvements !
