About
Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Riverside Golf Club in Ruskin is part of a peaceful retirement community. At just over 6,100 yards from the tips, the golf course is on the short side but it still offers an enjoyable round. From the back tees, the course actually presents quite a formidable test. The layout meanders along a creek before wandering across idyllic farmland and finishing along the river bluffs overlooking Hayes Bayou. The diverse terrain provides an array of scenery as well as a variety of different challenges. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides, waiting to swallow errant shots. Riverside Golf Club's layout combines more difficult holes with player-friendly features, which makes it approachable for players of any skill level.

Will play again
Went in the afternoon during the week. Essentially had the course to myself, which was fun being it was my first time, so I got to take my time and learn the course a little. Fun layout, and it was nice to see there are a bunch of holes that have no houses around, a nice change. Will for sure play again.
Fun course
I have played this course multiple times over the years and I have to say this is the best shape I have seen it in. Greens are all filled in nicely and look great. There are some bare spots in fairways and around greens but just move your ball and hit your shot. The bare spots are minimal so go enjoy this course..
Saturday Golf
Could not have picked a better day to play at Riverside. The course was deserted. We were the only group on the course as we arrived 20 minutes early. The starter asked us to let a single go ahead of us and we saw no one else on the court other than the ranger. Absolutely fantastice the only reason course condition was rated lower was because they had punched the greens other wise the course was perfect.
Perfect greens
The tee boxes are really rough but they are working on them . Great value
Greens and things
Their was next to no one on the course, everyone has gone back north. So pace of play was excellent.
The greens were a little face and hard but well groomed.
The fairways and tee boxes need a lot of water and work. However it appears the club is working on that. It may be a lot better by June/July 2023.

A Hidden Gem
Very nice course in a retirement community. With out a doubt the best staff I have encountered in my golf travels. Very professional, friendly and they do everything they can to make you feel welcome..
Dry
Greens and. Bunkers great rest of course was awful. Very dry new watering system must not work .

Good value for the money
Hey, layout is OK, greens are great AND they’re targeting areas to get water, which is not supported by the sky up above. They’re trying though, so fingers crossed!

Reasonable value
Course was dry, very dry. So you get a great roll on the fairway. That’s the good news.
Dry greens are super fast. Being so dry and located within a development it’s just not a pretty course. Come on guys…water the course.

Not good
Course conditions are declining rapidly..fairways ar burned out greens are not good. This course is a $25 course.. needs maintenance bad!
