About
Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Riverside Golf Club in Ruskin is part of a peaceful retirement community. At just over 6,100 yards from the tips, the golf course is on the short side but it still offers an enjoyable round. From the back tees, the course actually presents quite a formidable test. The layout meanders along a creek before wandering across idyllic farmland and finishing along the river bluffs overlooking Hayes Bayou. The diverse terrain provides an array of scenery as well as a variety of different challenges. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides, waiting to swallow errant shots. Riverside Golf Club's layout combines more difficult holes with player-friendly features, which makes it approachable for players of any skill level.

Not good
Course conditions are declining rapidly..fairways ar burned out greens are not good. This course is a $25 course.. needs maintenance bad!
Not thrilled
I don’t know how this course could possibly be reviewed as 4 stars overall by most people. I paid $50 ish for 18 and a cart and the course is literally in a trailer park. Most of the tee beds have so much sand on them it’s like being in a bunker. Fairways are patchy with a lot of uneven lies due to the dirt spots where there is no grass at all,
Staff was cool, bar was closed so we couldn’t get food, overall this was a 2 star experience to me and WAY overpriced as I paid almost the same amount to play Saddlebrook last week.

Not bad
Only critic of the course would be that the fairways and areas around the greens need way more grass
The layout was nice, greens putted well, but most lies were on dirt or near dirt. May be time of year, but need grass on fairways!!

No grass
The greens were fine but the fairways and tee boxes have no grass. They also have know water on the course to drink. Worst course in the area.

Season’s over and conditions are drying out
Had a nice day staff is super friendly and accommodating
You have a Ranger, only course I saw this year. Too many 5- 5 1/2 hour rounds this year for two times the price so kudos to you for that.
Course dry and no turf to hit off was the only downer. Happening everywhere now. Heritage Harbor greens are so hard I hit an approach wedge really high to the middle of the green 3 times and they all rolled off the green and down the hill. Impossible
