About
Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Riverside Golf Club in Ruskin is part of a peaceful retirement community. At just over 6,100 yards from the tips, the golf course is on the short side but it still offers an enjoyable round. From the back tees, the course actually presents quite a formidable test. The layout meanders along a creek before wandering across idyllic farmland and finishing along the river bluffs overlooking Hayes Bayou. The diverse terrain provides an array of scenery as well as a variety of different challenges. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides, waiting to swallow errant shots. Riverside Golf Club's layout combines more difficult holes with player-friendly features, which makes it approachable for players of any skill level.

try it again after some rain
could be a fun, somewhat challenging layout, but fairways were in need of serious water. sometimes hard to find grass to hit from. may improve when we get some rain, obviously not watering fairways much.

Good course
Good course overall greens need a little work, downside is length between holes, very long if walking. You will need a cart

Enjoyed, but charged more than what was told.
Second time to play this course. First time time everything was great, this time not so much. The pace of play was much slower, waiting on every hole. Also I booked on line with Teeoff and was charged $6 deposit then with $34 to be paid at course. When I checked in the man behind the counter told me I owed $25 for two. I said total and he said yes. We had arrived a little late, so I signed the credit card slip and hurried out without looking at bill. As I got to cart and started loading the slip blew out of cart and across parking lot. The next morning I checked my credit card and found out I had been charged $50 instead of the $25 he had said.

Another enjoyable round!
Second time we played here in three days . Very enjoyable. We played a two man scramble to make sure we didn’t hold anyone up and finished our 18 holes in four hours and five minutes. One new guy this time in our foursome and he liked the course along with the rest of us returnees. We will be back here for many more outings I’m sure.
Open, nice greens, and fun course.
Awesome course, great greens. Fairways were nice but the only thing was the clubhouse wasn't located well.
Still a great value with winter conditions
We had a lot of fun here. Winter conditions are not as good as the rest of the year but we really enjoy this course. The staff throughout the golf shop, restaurant and course are good people. The layout is challenging and we will be back many times in the future.
Nice breezy day for golf
The course was in excellent shape. Paired with a nice couple from Missouri. Enjoyable day of golf.
