About
Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Riverside Golf Club in Ruskin is part of a peaceful retirement community. At just over 6,100 yards from the tips, the golf course is on the short side but it still offers an enjoyable round. From the back tees, the course actually presents quite a formidable test. The layout meanders along a creek before wandering across idyllic farmland and finishing along the river bluffs overlooking Hayes Bayou. The diverse terrain provides an array of scenery as well as a variety of different challenges. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides, waiting to swallow errant shots. Riverside Golf Club's layout combines more difficult holes with player-friendly features, which makes it approachable for players of any skill level.

Overall good ... however
However the greens are in excellent shape, much better than other clubs in the Sun City Center area, but they are long and slow. I’d like to see them cut shorter.
I loved it!
Number one thing the people are very friendly, the number two thing the course looked great, number three thing the layout was all right in front of you. Yes the course has some water so you will have to lay up a little or play the back tees.
I’m pretty sure I will be playing here a lot.

Good value; hit it straight.
A course that was in surprisingly very good condition. Real nice greens. It was in better condition than other courses in the area that cost more.
Some tight areas that make you think and hit it straight. Fairly flat and lots of water.
Riverside
All in all, not bad. Fairways a little sparse, a lot of water could come into play. Pace of play a little slow. I’d do it again.

The greens are slow
The putting greens are slow the golf course is in pretty good shape

No driving range, played at 10:30 no place to grab a snack. Never got back to club house the way the course is. No halfway house or snack cart on course. When we got done with round went to bar to get something at 2:45 they made last call.

Nice course for the money.
My wife and I teed off around noon and played without waiting once. Decent course in a golf community. Greens run true but a little slow. Unless you’re a big hitter move up. The short yardage is skewed by many sharp doglegs. We enjoyed our golf experience here.

It was cold and windy horseplay really long very good but the course was in better-than-average condition

Golf experience
We enjoyed the course but fairways a bit rough. Still felt we got our monies worth. Staff very friendly.
