About
Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Riverside Golf Club in Ruskin is part of a peaceful retirement community. At just over 6,100 yards from the tips, the golf course is on the short side but it still offers an enjoyable round. From the back tees, the course actually presents quite a formidable test. The layout meanders along a creek before wandering across idyllic farmland and finishing along the river bluffs overlooking Hayes Bayou. The diverse terrain provides an array of scenery as well as a variety of different challenges. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides, waiting to swallow errant shots. Riverside Golf Club's layout combines more difficult holes with player-friendly features, which makes it approachable for players of any skill level.

Nothing special.
So I'm making this review because the course was just aerated and it's not shown on golfnow and I was not told in the proshop. Other than that there's nothing really special about the course, I only play there because I don't always want to go to the range, other than that one thing, I wouldn't play there and I definitely would not recommend it to anyone.
Also if it rains, this course has very few cart paths, so it's good for that fact also.

Holes were good but ball could not be played near people homes, have to keep ball very straight
Best I've ever seen it
I've been playing at Riverside for the 12 years I've been playing golf and it's now in the best condition I've ever seen it. The greens were in great condition with no bad spots evident, although they were playing pretty slow, and the fairways were much improved although there are still bare spots in some areas.. Kudos to the course for making great improvement to the course. If you play the proper tees, it can be a challenging course, with only 2 par 5's. The grill is also improved with better choices and good service. Will definitely be back soon.
Great Value
GolfNow deal was an awesome value for this course. It is a good layout; you very rarely see another hole other than the one you are playing. The greens are very slow; they could use a heavy trim, but overall, a very enjoyable experience for my wife and I. After our round, we stopped in the Bar and Grill, and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was excellent and the Margaritas were awesome. They also have a decent food menu and weekly specials.
Riverside on a beautiful Thursday
It was a fun day for us. (I walked it, just to get my steps in on my Fitbit... everybody else rode in carts.) The course in in nice shape and we played in under three and a half hours.
Their restaurant is outstanding... right on the river and very reasonably priced. Overall, it was a great day!

No amenities
There was no beverage or food on the course until we finished all 18 holes
Staff are great
I had a request and the staff member made it happen. I enjoy this course, conditions are good. The greens are lush however a little long, I’d like to see them a bit shorter. Good experience.
Overall good ... however
However the greens are in excellent shape, much better than other clubs in the Sun City Center area, but they are long and slow. I’d like to see them cut shorter.
I loved it!
Number one thing the people are very friendly, the number two thing the course looked great, number three thing the layout was all right in front of you. Yes the course has some water so you will have to lay up a little or play the back tees.
I’m pretty sure I will be playing here a lot.

Good value; hit it straight.
A course that was in surprisingly very good condition. Real nice greens. It was in better condition than other courses in the area that cost more.
Some tight areas that make you think and hit it straight. Fairly flat and lots of water.
Riverside
All in all, not bad. Fairways a little sparse, a lot of water could come into play. Pace of play a little slow. I’d do it again.
