About
Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Riverside Golf Club in Ruskin is part of a peaceful retirement community. At just over 6,100 yards from the tips, the golf course is on the short side but it still offers an enjoyable round. From the back tees, the course actually presents quite a formidable test. The layout meanders along a creek before wandering across idyllic farmland and finishing along the river bluffs overlooking Hayes Bayou. The diverse terrain provides an array of scenery as well as a variety of different challenges. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides, waiting to swallow errant shots. Riverside Golf Club's layout combines more difficult holes with player-friendly features, which makes it approachable for players of any skill level.

Golf experience
We enjoyed the course but fairways a bit rough. Still felt we got our monies worth. Staff very friendly.

I really enjoy this course. the greens are in great shape., fairways could use some water but not to bad.. the staff is always great. its a great little golf community .

Riverside Golf Course
We had a good round today. The weather was windy and warm, but we had a good game.
Challenging course
Fairways in pretty decent shape, greens nice, a little slow, but enjoyable.
Greatly improved over last season. Tees fairways and greens in great shape. Greens hold but are still slow . Great bargain
Really Good Course Under Repairs
My son and I have played this course a couple of times prior and enjoyed our rounds there. When we booked the Tee Time we had no idea that the course was under maintenance. they had 9 holes under repair, and it wasn't like the front nine or the back nine. It was a few holes here, and a few holes there.
It would have been nice to have known this ahead of time, but we didn't and it was too late to go somewhere else. The holes we did get to play (twice for 18) were decent. The greens rolled really true.
Once they get the course back together I will go back.
Poor fairways
The course setting was fine. Unfortunately the fairways had minimal grass and mostly sand. Try another course.
This isn’t true, only sand was off in the rough where you must of been playing lol
Not sure when you golfed here but they have put over a million dollars to upgrade the fairways in particular and it showed yesterday.
Greens and fairways were great!
The greens were the only saving grace for this course
I have played golf all over the USA and Canada. This is without a doubt the worse course condition I ever played with exception of the greens. Not sure if they are in the middle or beginning of an complete overhaul, but it was gross. I would never play there again, nor would I recommend anyone else to play there.
Worth the money
I like the layout of this course. The fairways they worked on last year are still in good shape. Good value for the money.
Bad shape
I've never seen a course so bad. Mounds of high grass on bare fairways. Looked like it hadn't been watered in years. Some greens were fair, but others were horrible. It was like golfing on a cow pasture. Needs H2O and TLC. Definitely not worth the $$ .

overall course conditions were terrible. they would have to pay me to play the course again.
Good layout, poor course conditions
Course has a good layout with lots of hazards and OB. Great for practicing long irons, tight lies and shot-shaping. Although greens are in decent shape, the overall course condition is poor with most fairways needing grass and water. Bunkers are playable and water on many holes force you to hit shots. I'd play it again for the GN price.
