About
Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Riverside Golf Club in Ruskin is part of a peaceful retirement community. At just over 6,100 yards from the tips, the golf course is on the short side but it still offers an enjoyable round. From the back tees, the course actually presents quite a formidable test. The layout meanders along a creek before wandering across idyllic farmland and finishing along the river bluffs overlooking Hayes Bayou. The diverse terrain provides an array of scenery as well as a variety of different challenges. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides, waiting to swallow errant shots. Riverside Golf Club's layout combines more difficult holes with player-friendly features, which makes it approachable for players of any skill level.

NEEDS WATER on Fairways
The golf course was extremely dry most of the time and not well maintained for the fairways. This was not what I experienced in the summer with all the rains. This course need watering and help with grass in the fairways. Greens were in decent shape.
Great course spoilt by unkept fairways
The layout of this course was excellent and challenging, the greens were great, the only thing that let down this course was the condition of the fairways, mainly dirt or sand and very little grass, so we had to find a patch of grass closest to the ball to play the ball from. I would play here again hopefully the fairways would have improved next time. Staff were helpful and cheerful.
Nice design
This course need maintenance!! Fairways are burned up, Glorified sand traps. Greens need to be cut. I know why the price is cheep. I am sure the people who live on that course are disappointed with their investment in that community. I certainly wouldn't buy a home there!
Very poor conditions
The greens were filled in but had not been mowed and I had a noon start time. The fairways and tee boxes were horrible. Very little green grass, lots of dead grass and sand in fairways and on tee boxes. Inadequate or insufficient irrigation.
Great Course
The Golf Course was in great shape and I would recommend this course to anyone who loves to play.
Fairways
Marshall was around a lot but did not accomplish anything. A very slow foursome was holding up half the course. Fairways were in poor shape. The layout is very good and lots of risk reward available. If you play lift and clean or preferred lies, you can have a good game. If you don't, the fairways will kill your score. Lots of water and the greens were good.
Course was challenging for average player.
I would recommend this course. I will play it again when I return to the area.
The course was not that good
The fairways were fine. The greens were very slow. The rough was brown with very little grass.
It is challenging with all the water hazards. The pace was great, no one in front and never had any one behind us until last couple of holes. Ate lunch at restaurant and food and server were great. Will be back some day. I live 100 miles from there and met an old classmate that lives 120 miles the other direction. We will do it again some day. Also someone turned in a club that I lost on the course. Thanks for the good time..
Scenic wildlife
Greens were patchy and slow. Nice wide fairways. Would play again
Good Deal
This was a very nice little course with some very challenging holes. The greens had some mixed grass that presented some putting difficulty .Fairways all seemed to have a reasonable good green grass approach , and the tee boxes were all fairly decent .Most holes were lined on both sides with homes that for the most part didn't seem to bother us to much. The club house was great , staff excellent, and value was good enough to go do it again.
