About

Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Riverside Golf Club in Ruskin is part of a peaceful retirement community. At just over 6,100 yards from the tips, the golf course is on the short side but it still offers an enjoyable round. From the back tees, the course actually presents quite a formidable test. The layout meanders along a creek before wandering across idyllic farmland and finishing along the river bluffs overlooking Hayes Bayou. The diverse terrain provides an array of scenery as well as a variety of different challenges. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides, waiting to swallow errant shots. Riverside Golf Club's layout combines more difficult holes with player-friendly features, which makes it approachable for players of any skill level.

Hidden gem

Great place to play at reasonable rates. Staff are always super friendly and the course offers a good challenge. Played here a number of times the last few weeks. The greens are good and the fairways and tees are good. Will be back again. Lovely views over the river from the decking at the clubhouse bar. Great way to finish off the day with some food and a drink with great views.

Fun loop! Greens were in amazingly good shape. Pace of play was the best I’ve seen in a long time. Was in town visiting family & ended up playing with a few residents, and had a blast. Booked on a GN hot deal & glad I did. Fun loop!

Friendly staff good value

All staff were very friendly. Course was very busy when we arrived but after a few holes the pace picked up and there was hardly any waiting to play your shots. Greens are good and fairways and tees are in decent condition. A nice lay out and well worth a visit for the price.

I've lived here for 5+ years and wish I would have found this course sooner. Only recommendation I would make would be to hire a cart girl - other than that, I had a great time and I will be back!

Worth it

1st time playing here and it’s worth it. Course conditions were very nice and greens in perfect shape (they could have been a little faster but no complaints).

If you’re looking for a winter round and don’t want to break the bank play out here! I’ll be back.

Good Conditions, Excellent Pace of Play, Friendly Staff

Played late morning weekend round as a twosome. Although weather was perfect, course was not crowded and we finished in less than four hours. Greens and sand traps were in very nice shape. Fairways were a bit thin, but we played ’ball down’ the entire round. Mike in the clubhouse was welcoming and made us feel as if our business was appreciated. Would play here again and can recommend this course (especially at their rates compared to other nearby venues).

Fun funky course

Staff is super friendly. Greens are in good condition but are really slow. Nice wide fairways on many holes but the low handicap holes are quite challenging. Friendly bar on the river for your 19th hole ritual. Course winds through the manufactured home community until 8th hole when you enter a conservation area, the reenters the community for the last 4 holes.
