Coyote Springs Golf Club
About
Coyote Springs Golf Club (previously known as Coyote Springs - The Chase Course) is located less than one hour from the Las Vegas Strip and just 45 minutes from Mesquite, Nevada. This Jack Nicklaus Signature Course is highly regarded as a must-play by Vegas golf aficionados. The course's stunning setting is sometimes referred to as "nature's cradle" since it's situated in a verdant valley completely surrounded by majestic mountains and peaks. While the scenery may be beautiful, don't let it distract you from the golf course's many challenges. Water and bunkers await you at almost every turn. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 second, whose bunkers at the second landing area will force you to think carefully about how to approach the Augusta-like green. In addition to the golf course, Coyote Springs offers one of the largest practice facilities in the country. This 19-acre facility includes 13 target greens and a short game area for pitching, chipping, and bunker practice.

Great layout
Great course worth the drive. It is very difficult, don’t be above the hole! 😉
Coyote Springs
An oasis in the middle of a desert. A Nicklaus gem!
GIR is no guarantee of Par
The course was in great condition and beautiful surroundings make this course a must play while in the Vegas area. The course's defenses are the strategically placed bunkers in the fairways and around most of the greens. If you're fortunate enough to get on the green in regulation you will then face some of the most undulating greens you will find anywhere. Prepare to be humbled but it is still a great experience.
Just meh
Course okay. Played much better while in Vegas area. Outside staff was friendly and helpful. Inside staff seemed like I was bothering them while thru were at work.
Came in after round, was never greeted or anything the person just sat in a chair and watched tv. Bought a hat and asked where the nearest gas station was. I was informed it was 30 miles away (I know, not his fault). But he generously offered to sell me gas at $10/gallon. I understand paying a premium and supply and demand. 2x the going rate is gouging. We made it back no problems but it seemed like a “we can screw you
Sumply because we can situation. Obviously left a sour taster in my mouth
5 1/2 round?
On a Tuesday morning. Playing as a twosome. Waited on every shot as the group in front of us played a two man best ball while emptying the lakes of the balls in the water. No marshal until hole 17 and when I mentioned he just smiled at me and drove away.
I love this course and it’s absolutely worth the drive from
Vegas or St George. Too bad this round was ruined by the pace of play
BEAUTIFUL COURSE!!!!
A diamond in the dessert!! The course was absolutely gorgeous! One of the best conditioned courses I have played on. The fairways are wide but the greens are fast!!!! Pace of play was fast. Worth the drive from Las Vegas to the course. I highly recommend.
Absolutely must play here again
Read all the reviews and had to play here. It's true, this is one of the premier courses to play in the Las Vegas area. Yes, not the easiest course to get to, but get out here and play this course.
BFE
Amazing course in the middle of no man’s land. Beautiful track!
So many options in Las Vegas - however if you spend the time to drive — the additional time will be worth it! Location is scenic and gorgeous - staff is accommodating and friendly. Professional driving and chipping area. Definitely spend a few minutes at the putting green.
I loved the course - played several days in Vegas…. I will visit CS again on my next Vegas trip
If I had one gripe- people please repair your ball marks on the greens
Horrible customer service.
Great day for Golf turned into a horrible experience when they decided to turn the sprinklers on our group telling us we played too fast and they needed to water the course before we got around. Why did they send us out? We ended up getting wet the whole back nine sprinklers were on every T box every fairway, and on the greens.
5.5 hour round, 2 hour commute
This is a one-and-done for me. The course is challenging, in great condition. But the pace of play is unacceptable. We had a 5.5 hour round, and that was including groups quitting in front of us. Front 9 took 2 hours and 45 minutes. Add the commute, and having to get there early, and you're at an 8 hour commitment to play this course.
The greens are hard to hit, if you hit them then it's a challenge to 2-putt with the slopes, and you're penalized with 8 foot deep bunkers if you miss. Pin positions were tucked behind these bunkers, next to slopes that would take your ball off the green if you missed. There is no flat lie on the fairway, and rough is more than an inch thick. If this was a private country club with good golfers, you could have this layout, but on a public course where half the clientele is a 20+ handicap? You get 5.5 hour rounds.
Tee boxes were perfect, flat, cut short. Course is well watered and doesn't go dormant in the winter. Rough is thick. Bunkers had plenty of sand in them, all of them. Greens ran smooth and fast. Cart paths had some odd areas where you had to drive over bumpy stones.
Clubhouse is a trailer, restaurant is a trailer, restrooms were also a trailer. Carts were gas and loud. (4) bottles of water were provided, but the ice was already melted by the time we teed off. Only 1/5 of the range was open, but the range was grass. The drive from the 18th green to the clubhouse is long, as is the drive to the driving range from the clubhouse.
Name of Golf
With my golf life in 25 years, this is one of the best.
From 1st hole to 18th hole, there is no similar lay outs and you must seriously image your shot flying and landing. You should consider all of possibilities went wrong before swing.
If pleasure golf, play some other courses. ^ ^
Good Luck
Better than Rams Hill Golf. Ahahahaha
