Coyote Springs Golf Club (previously known as Coyote Springs - The Chase Course) is located less than one hour from the Las Vegas Strip and just 45 minutes from Mesquite, Nevada. This Jack Nicklaus Signature Course is highly regarded as a must-play by Vegas golf aficionados. The course's stunning setting is sometimes referred to as "nature's cradle" since it's situated in a verdant valley completely surrounded by majestic mountains and peaks. While the scenery may be beautiful, don't let it distract you from the golf course's many challenges. Water and bunkers await you at almost every turn. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 second, whose bunkers at the second landing area will force you to think carefully about how to approach the Augusta-like green. In addition to the golf course, Coyote Springs offers one of the largest practice facilities in the country. This 19-acre facility includes 13 target greens and a short game area for pitching, chipping, and bunker practice.

Beautiful course

Loved the layout and condition of the course, but lack of space for drinks and food environment was disappointing. It's in the middle of nowhere so I get it.

It’s a course worth challenging yourself on

It is a golf course with a really nice layout, and overall it was well maintained. It’s the kind of course I would like to challenge myself on again. I truly enjoyed the round, and I liked that it felt somewhat difficult. In particular, the green speed was set with great precision.

Amazing layout

I love a tough, but fair course, and Coyote Springs provided both. Course was in immaculate shape and the greens were perfect. Will definitely be back to play again.

If you’re serious about golf, this is definitely a course worth trying, but it can be quite challenging for high-handicap players.

Overall, the course layout was excellent and the condition was also very good. In particular, the green speed was impressively fast — something you rarely see at other courses these days. I also liked the lakes spread out along the course, and personally I really enjoyed the fast greens. If I get the chance, I’d love to play this course again.

Great day in an Oasis

Beautiful and lush. Perfectly manicured fairways and greens. Good length and very tough greens. This is a destination course, it is nearly an hour from Las Vegas, you will be planning a trip out here. Very pretty back drop with the mountains in the distance.

New Favorite

I may have a new Vegas and all time favorite !!!

Previous favorite was Currahee about an hour north of Atlanta but it’s private and so nobody can play. This Coyote Springs is an hour north of Vegas and although a bit pricy it is open to Everyone !! Fantastic Jack Nicolas design and conditions are just Excellent !! The first two holes will get you off on a nice picturesque round and end with the waterfalls … enjoy !!!

Never better

It’s excellent from tee to green. Course knowledge is helpful because it’s tough. Smooth greens, probably a 10-11 stent, beautiful fairways, waterfalls, smooth concrete paths. Service was friendly and helpful. I have no complaints and I’ll be back.

Best golf course I have played

Challenging as it is beautiful and at a price that’s very reasonable for any quality golf course.

I couldn’t have been more pleased with the quality of the course or the smooth undulating greens. Several waterfalls, smooth cart paths are well marked but there are a couple of spots I couldn’t immediately figure out where to go.

Friendly and helpful staff.

It’s about an hour north of Vegas but worth every minute!

Scorching hot, yet played great

It was scorching hot, but the course played great. Fairways were great consistency and played perfect. Greens were soft and held approaches very well, yet putting was firm and fast just like you’d want. They found the perfect balance, especially in tough dessert conditions.

Beautiful but Brutal

This course is not for the faint of heart. If you’re not consistently shooting in the low 80s or better, you may want to think twice before booking a tee time. The layout is relentlessly difficult and leaves no room for error. Conservative play offers no advantage — laying up won't save you, and there’s little reward for playing it safe. Every hole demands near-perfect shot execution, and the bunkers are unavoidable, seemingly guarding every landing zone and green.

The greens are just as unforgiving, with multiple breaks and severe undulations that make even short putts a challenge. Depending on the day’s pin placement, it’s easy to walk away with a 3-putt — or worse. A single bad read or poor pace can quickly turn a decent hole into a disaster.

To be fair, the course is in excellent condition. The fairways and greens are beautifully maintained, and the overall presentation is top-notch. But for the average golfer, the frustration may outweigh the beauty. If you're not bringing your A-game, consider heading to Paiute instead — it’s far more enjoyable and forgiving.

This is the golf course!

Fantastic in every detail. It will humble the greatest Golfer.. Beautiful but a true test of your game. If you get on the green in regulation, your troubles are just beguining. Add some wind and you will have scratch golfers playing in the low 90 's from their back tees. Over 7,400 yards.
