Coyote Springs Golf Club (previously known as Coyote Springs - The Chase Course) is located less than one hour from the Las Vegas Strip and just 45 minutes from Mesquite, Nevada. This Jack Nicklaus Signature Course is highly regarded as a must-play by Vegas golf aficionados. The course's stunning setting is sometimes referred to as "nature's cradle" since it's situated in a verdant valley completely surrounded by majestic mountains and peaks. While the scenery may be beautiful, don't let it distract you from the golf course's many challenges. Water and bunkers await you at almost every turn. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 second, whose bunkers at the second landing area will force you to think carefully about how to approach the Augusta-like green. In addition to the golf course, Coyote Springs offers one of the largest practice facilities in the country. This 19-acre facility includes 13 target greens and a short game area for pitching, chipping, and bunker practice.

November golf

A little bit out of the way but worth the drive. Course was in good condition, greens average speed and could use a little maintenance, mostly because few people repair the pitch marks. A fun adventure. Perfect weather.

Great Course Slow Play

This is a really nice golf course with difficult greens. The only downside is that we waited on every shot. And, that kind of ruins the experience for people who play a lot of golf.

Great Course

Every golf hole is good! Greens are very undulated. If you don’t keep the ball below the hole it is difficult to make pars.

Coyote Springs

Golf course was in good shape and very difficult so pick the right set of tees. Everything was just great with 2 exceptions. The course is just too far away from the Strip with all the road construction. The Starter is unfortunately just a grumpy old man. Barks out orders and is just rude. It all started when I said, "Good Morning" and his response was "Yeah its morning". It wasn't just our group but his interaction with the other 2 groups waiting as well. Management needs to look into this ASAP.

Little Disappointing

Coyote Springs is always one of my favorite courses to play when in Vegas. Is out of the way, but a great design, conditions always good, and the scenery very pleasing in a nice secluded desert valley setting. However, found the course was a little beat up on this visit. Not sure what is happening, but hope management will give a little TLC to the struggling greens. It's not quite worth the money given current conditions.

Course lay-out was great. Greens were in horrible shape. Starter guy rushed us to the tee 15 mins before time. Will play again in 10 years to see if conditions get better.

Losing Appeal

We have played here once per annual Vegas trip for a lot of years. The reason for that is because our first visit was like a dream. Perfectly manicured course in the middle of nowhere, unbelievably beautiful surroundings (which they still are) and I was always able to get a descent price through TeeOff or GolfNow. The course conditions have slowly deteriorated. The tee boxes and the greens are no longer perfect. The coolers filled with bottled water which was greatly appreciated no longer exist. The price on deals for non residents is no longer a good deal.
Staff are fantastic but we are crossing this one off our list for mst play golf courses.

Great looking course

Played the course 3x in the past 10 years. I don’t remember it being this tough. In either case if this course was not so far away I would it more often.

-The course is extremely green, just beautiful
-The sand traps had real sand
-The endless undulations on the fairways made it difficult to hit aggressively at the ball
-The undulations on the greens were difficult too
-Tee boxes were immaculate, not any more 😈
-The temperature was somewhere between mid to high 70s

A desert surprise... in a good way

We journeyed to this desert course... quite a bit away from Las Vegas. What a great change from the courses we played in Vegas. It was quiet and serene. No planes constantly taking off and landing. No sirens of police blazing past. No hustle and bustle of cars and trucks passing by. You could hear yourself think. You could hear the waterfalls along the edge of the fairways. You could hear your putter tap the ball and hear the ball fall into the cup. the silence and peace made this great course even more enjoyable.
The course conditions are very good. The layout is interesting and challenging. Many water holes which was a surprise in the desert. Greens were in good shape. We really enjoyed our round and definitely recommend.

Weekend Golfer

The course was in great shape and very lush for this time of year. The greens were soft and mostly in good condition as a few had some bare spots but overall in good shape. The fairways were just as good with a few bare spots but still great shape overall. We did encounter a group that decided to play a group of six which caused the pace of play to be slow. The marshall did talk to them and the group allowed us to play through and proceeded to play a great pace after that.

Always Good but Watch Course Maint.

Played coyote Springs a few times and it’s always a nice experience. Course layout is very nice. Staff is overall pretty friendly. We were lucky and had the whole course to ourselves due to some inclement weather. As a result, we found it a bit strange when the starter kept hustling us along when it was so empty? We experienced cart problems and they tried to accuse us of driving too close to the greens, but the golf cart stalled out in the middle of the fairway? Delayed our golf by almost 20 minutes. Very reasonable replay fee at $35 and we played 36 holes. Nice upgrade on the golf carts to have GPS now but they still need ball washers at the holes as they don’t exist? No real clubhouse for a nice after golf lunch, but would definitely play there again. My buddy got a hole-in-one on hole 12 and it was a pretty exciting day.

Good course!

The course was in good shape. Always love the challenging layout. Amenities were ok and definitely appreciate an all grass practice facility. Staff did a great job keeping groups on time but with the course layout less experienced golfers will play slower so just a heads up.

No drinking water on the course during extreme heat

I recently played in a2 day tournament here. Although the course is top notch, the service and accommodations were terrible. The pin positions on the first day were placed for touring pros. This led to back to back 6 hour rounds as these greens are lightning fast. They were placed short sided, on domes, slopes and near water. If you tapped your ball passed the hole you were sure to 3-4 put due to placements and green speeds causing the ball to run 20 ft past the hole on a 3 ft putt. Everyone had trouble putting because of this. The ranger was up everyones butt except for the culprits. He made sure that he spoke as people were getting ready to tee off as he did with our group and multiple groups. He came from behind to tell everyone that its their fault the course was slow which made no sense, why not start at the lead group and work your way back as rangers are supposed to do. There was 1 cart lady with not nearly enough ice or drinks for the full tournament. At least 2 guys had heat strokes. The employees could care less. Not one employee helped take care of or cool the guy off. This was bad as the nearest hospital was an hour away. There were no refill stations and they made sure to milk you of your money. There were no shuttles the the practice facilities as it is almost a mile away from the club house so getting out early to warm up was redundant and a waste of time. They are not prepared to host tournaments and it showed. The lack of empathy was the worst part. About 5 guys didn't show up for day 2 as a result of the staff and the lack of drinking water on the course.

The course is a true challenge, so I get what you're saying about the putting. As for the heat, it looks like you're from AZ, I would think you would either be accustomed to it or had the sense to not schedule an important tourney smack dab in the middle of the 'nowhere desert' in July. Sounds like the cart girl and customer service was barely passable that day which made for the perfect storm. Hopefully your tourney players are doing OK now and the CS staff will see your review and offer up some compensation to make you a fan of their club. I know they take a lot of pride in the course and what they do.

To hot

114 was the temperature when we started. I made it through 12 before I started to black out when I bent over for the tee or to mark my ball. I could not cancel due to your policy.

We'll definitely be back

Great course, great shape and almost nobody there. It was hot but the course was still in great shape and the challenge for us was in the layout of the holes. We had a blast, even though none of us is all that good and the course is a bit challenging.

It's a bit of a drive but well worth it. We will definitely be back to play again!

A great annual round at Coyote Springs

After a few days of NBA Summer League a round at Coyote Springs is always fun and rewarding. It worth the drive north of Las Vegas, to play this Nicklaus course. A good challenge from any tee box with lots of challenges around the greens.
