Bent Tree Country Club

I avoided this course for several years, but came back this year because of improved playing conditions. It’s an interesting course too. I am bringing a group next week to see if we want to play here weekly.

Played with a lovely couple who are members- The Hogans! Course is looking in better shape than previous years. There are some spots that need some work- some bunkers, fairways, but trending upwards. This is a very tight course with the front 9 being more challenging than the back 9. I was happy with the price considering the Spring break price hikes at other courses.

Only down side was the pace of play. Had a tee time and hole 1 was backed up. I think we teed off 10 minutes after our scheduled tee time and unfortunately, we sat on every single hole. The starter tried moving everyone along, but there was no ranger pushing groups forward. The couple I played with were not pleased with the pace either as they usually get through 18holes in 3:45. Oh well, at least I had great company and good weather.

Fairways were dry and brown in areas.....greens were ok

Neighborhood setting. Maintenance was acceptable

Greens were a 6 out of 10

Traps were 2 out of 10 very little sand

I really enjoy the layout, staff and usually the pace of play. It was drying out so the greens were bumpier and quicker than usual. The "but" is calling the sandtraps sandtraps is a huge exaggeration. Sometimes dirt sometimes mud, always hard packed. Fixing them or plant them in grass would be a huge improvement.

My and my playing partner (we were a twosome) ran into another twosome - man & female - at about the 6th hole. We were still waiting on them on the 18th hole. GRRRRR!!!

Arrived 25 min early. Cart attendant met me at the car and welcomed me and gave me a cart. Pro shop staff were also great. Teed off on time, Gollf course was in average condition, greens were nice. Holes on front 9 go back and forth with golfers everywhere going different directions. No ranger at all. Saw the beverage cart about 6 times in the 5 1/2 hour round. Too much waiting and not enjoyable. Maybe another day would be different, but I won’t return.

I liked playing here on a very windy day. It is a nice layout.

Several of the sand traps could use more sand but otherwise enjoyed the round
