Bent Tree Country Club

Play this course in January and February, both times it was over five hours for a round. They do not have any Rangers to police the pace of play, and overall I don’t think the management really cares. The property is well maintained, management not so much.

We enjoyed our round. The course was in good condition. The staff are friendly and welcoming. we had some slow groups in front of us. As we were a two ball, slightly frustrating We are English, is it not a courtesy to let faster players behind thru in the US?

I played this course twice, once in January and once in February. Both times there, it was well over five hours to play 18 holes with a cart. They have no Ranger, and they have no interest in maintaining the speed of play. Much like a typical country club, the members do whatever they feel like doing regardless of anybody else around them who has paid to play. There are many places to play golf in Southwest Florida, and this is one you should avoid.

While this is a well-maintained landscape, the same cannot be said for the management.

Pace of play was very slow group in front took forever

Great layout, greens are normally very good but they were slow due to over watering of the greens. So much do that area around the greens, especially approach to the greens were sopping wet and ball would inbed. In fact, some parts of the fairways was sopping wet and the ball would inbed there too. Good to see they are maintaining the course but they could do a betterjob with the watering schedul. Great to see the new carts!.

Nice course for 18 holes. Nice layout as not too many obstacles but enough. Cart paths were rough. Course was hit by hurricanes and had a few trees down but course was still very enjoyable!

Played in 4 hrs 10 minutes for 60.00 so good value and good layout. Got my moneys worth for sure on GolfNow

I play Bent Tree every winter, so I'm fairly familiar with the course. What really stood out to me this year was the grass - fairways were full and the first cut was lush. You could easily slip a wedge under the ball, and chipping was like being up north - not like the bald lies we see at most Florida courses. Greens had just been sanded, so putting was a challenge, but the quality of the turf was great.

We paid $88 (including GolfNow fees, tax, etc), which is reasonable, and considerably less than the carpetbaggers running the Venice golf courses.

We waited quite a bit, but still played in 4:15. Not bad for having to wait. I'd definitely play there again.

The fairways are cut too short there’s very little surface to hit from in several places. Rough alongside each of the ponds with a slope or cut too short… Nothing to stop a ball from running down the hill. Some of the cart paths Need a lot of help.

A nice course with some pretty holes. Don't know why it doesn't get more play.

Pace of play was terrible. Four ball ahead of us was 4 holes behind the Four Ball ahead. Great cards but course condition is terrible.
