Went there and had no complaints at all with the staff and how everything was handled. The starter even pulled up 2 carts to our cars while we checked in inside. Greens were recently aerated which we were unaware of beforehand which is the only minor inconvenience we had. The grass had just been cut and the fairways were very nice. Great course for the price.

the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the front nine was closed and the back nine greens had just been sanded. Given how well the ball rolled in the sand. I expect the greens will be in great shape. The course was very playable for my wife and I.

I normally love playing Bent Tree but this week the course was just aerated and the greens were heavily sanded. It was impossible to make a putt under those conditions but the price compensated for the temporary green maintenance. The rest of the course was fine but some tee grounds do need TLC. If you you want great greens to putt on just wait two weeks and Bent Tree will be great again.

I hadn't played for several months and wanted to get out and try to get my swing back. It was a perfect place for that. Not in great shape but it was fine for me,

This was mostly disappointing. The course is not in good shape, lots of weeds and bare ground. Greens were slow. Too bad because the layout was actually nice. This could be a really nice course with some maintenance. There was hardly anybody there so pace of play was not an issue. For the $24 I paid it was worth it but I wouldn’t pay much more than that.

Fun course, fairways were a bit rough but greens were lush. Very very slow greens, so a bit challenging to adapt to that.

Holes had many variations to them, which was great.

Two five some players in front of us all day- REALLY? Granted it’s Saturday but who doesn’t break these players up? To make things more fun the skills in each group were top to bottom-some players were nearly scratch golfers and others in group couldn’t even address the ball. Entertaining to watch but really just added two hours to our round. I felt bad for the players in each group because they weren’t able to establish a proper pace of play. I always like playing here even with the grouping debacles.

Barely anyone at the course. Staff was friendly and quick. Tee boxes and fairways are in rough shape but it’s been extremely hot in Sarasota and very little rain. Course layout is really fun and water stations are conveniently placed. Third time playing here and I’ll be back for that good price a d very fast pace of play.

Course was in decent condition. Majority of the tee boxes were bare or in the process of growing in. However, greens and fairways were good.

Staff was friendly. The only reason why I marked poor for off course amenities is because the bar was closed. I saw the cart girl one and she said she was heading home at noon.

There is plenty of drinkable water on the course. But the back has fewer stations the front.

First of all the pro ,Doug, is always positive and welcoming even at 6:45 when I got there. The reviews were about how shabby the course was . Well for $40 and having the entire course to myself it was a bargain!! The greens were slow but very true and there had been so much rain how could they not be slow. The fairways were not great nor the tee boxes but it's that time of year for public courses in Sarasota. Not my favorite layout with the changes over the years but there are more than enough challenging holes including the par3 3rd from the back. Definitely in better shape than the reviews and I had a blast. Thanks Doug to you and your staff!!
