Bent Tree Country Club

Absolutely no ammenities. The cart runs occasionally which has hot dogs, etc but an abandoned club house operation. I watched it slowly fade into zilch beginning before covid. It’s a real shame for a Sarasota classic club. Even a wet cloth would be something at least since no club washers anywhere, no driving range, marshall, Zip. However, kudos for course maintenance. Very nice. 😊

Aside from that, the course is in good shape, greens are slower but good shape, fairly true,. I liked the layout. Some fairways wider, some narrow, plenty of water but not too much, par 5's reachable for the avg golfer.

We really enjoyed everything about this course. The fairways weren’t perfect but much better than most public courses. Greens were true and in good shape. Staff is friendly. I will be back again soon.

A challenging course but not too hard. They need to open the restaurant and bar.

Nice course, nice built up greens,fairways getting greener,tee boxes ok. Only downside is the bunkers, they are hazards, so just rake a area and place your ball. Enjoy the layout,just enough challenge to make it fun. 5 sets of tees. So fair for all.

Hurricanes made major changes to the course but the fairways have improved a lot and the greens are always fairly quick and true

This course is in great shape. This is my favorite course in this area.

Most consistent course in the area. Despite damage from the storms management has gradually made progress putting the course back together. Even a week after the storm the greens and fairways were in good shape and playable. Greens are now rolling good and fairways are in good shape. Fun to play - favorites are 7 & 9. Need shot placements to birdie

Low end course, not taken care of well aside from the putting green. Friendly staff but overpriced rounds.

Well designed course, but conditions could be better. The fairways were a little shaggy like they hadn’t been cut for a couple days. Greens were ok but not fast. This was on NYD so understandable. Parts of the bunkers were covered by sprinkler reach, so were muddy and unplayable. Like a lot of older golf clubs, the trees have become overgrown and are blocking out some fairway shots, so could use trimming. Overall a decent course, just needs some TLC.

Staff was very off-putting, with challenging exchanges, and asking us to let people play through, with 3 players and a rider - when we saw much worse players out on the course, and the marshalls did not move. Would play again, but service experience definitely allows for pause, especially given the price point.

Decent course but you can’t call the pro shop at all. It redirects you to a booking service based in a call center numerous time zones away.

Can’t book a 9 hole tee time online so you’re forced to call the booking service. Booking service says they can’t book a tee time online so they need to call the pro shop. Horrific circle ensues where you never get a tee time for 9

Please fix this!

In order to put in a review I actually read other reviews first… anyone that gives this course 4 or 5 stars does not have a clue about golf courses… I would have to agree with Ecki’s review, place is barely a 1 star rating.. place is not in good shape at all..should completely under go a complete overhaul tee to greens… and redo all greens while they are under overhaul! Sorry but this is an honest review
