Golf course was nice good place to play I have always liked to play there course is challenging for a small business!

Pretty good nine hole layout. Good for practice, and new golfers. City needs to lawn maintenance . Plenty of lost balls to find if you are brave enough to look under the first few feet of underbrush.

After looking up information on this course I was expecting much much more. When we arrived we noticed a lot of unmowed areas, rough patches of fairways, and horrible greens. We were greeted nicely and received great customer service. That was the only plus of the day. Otherwise the course is nothing close to what their online descriptions make out of it. I do not recommend to anyone unless you are trying to squeeze in an easy 9 holes.

Staff is unfriendly and rude. Course is way too easy. Greens badly need to be redone. I'd rather play a round at Butler or keep the $20.

It's a par 30 course with three par 4 holes. The course is beginner friendly, but does have several holes with forced carries that aren't easy for less skilled or physically weaker players. The course is surprisingly challenging for better players and has several holes that aren't easy pars.

This facility is great and accomplishes everything it is meant to. Fun and challenging design, generally good conditions, affordable and quick pace of play are what makes it great. The greens can be less than ideal but the rest is fine. You can walk 9 holes in less than 2 hours. I wouldn't say it's a downside, but the course is primarily par 3 holes with three par 4's mixed in. You can hit the driver on the par 4's but the rest are irons only. It's a great after work option or a day when you don't want to commit to a full 18 holes. I recommend anyone who enjoys golf come out and see what the course has to offer.

The range is another nice feature to have and the 3 hole practice course is a good way to work on your approach shots.

Foot Golf was recently introduced here. I haven't played but it looks fun.

Played for the first time at Harvey Penick and was not impressed. The greens where being aerated but it seemed that they were being aerated by using rebar. Made 3 foot putts that are makeable on most courses extremely difficult and sinking putts is what matters when the course is basically a par 3 course for the exception of the three par 4 holes. Also there were some water jugs on the course that were not refilled and it was a extremely hot and humid day. Overall the course needs a lot of work but it has potential to be a good short game course.

Greens are in very bad shape and the rest of the course looks like it needs maintnance!!

This was my first time playing HP and I found the staff friendly but the course confusing with multiple flags (4+ flags on some holes) on the fairway and around the green. Due to no course layout available, and the multiple flags it was often difficult determining which flag was the actual hole.

It had just rained and the cart paths were more of a mud path..

The greens were awful, very hard and spotty grass coverage.

I liked the overall course layout and will wait until the course is repaired and in better condition before playing it again.

Greens need a lot of work. Aerator holes on greens way to large.

This is a challenging layout in great surroundings. Always enjoy playing. Only problem, the greens had been punched one week earlier and were basically unputtable. This will improve in time.

This was the first 9 hole course I have played and I missed having a par 5, but I had a really nice experience. It was a peaceful environment and very friendly staff. Most of the cart paths are gravel/dirt, so if you were trying to impress a client, the course may not offer the accommodations to impress, but if you want a relaxing round of golf with a laid back atmosphere, this course will definitely fit the bill.

I really enjoyed playing here for the first time. The layout of the course is great especially with all the trees and creeks everywhere on the course. You have to love playing par 3 holes to enjoy your experience, and the only negative thing I can say is that their greens are not the greatest. I'll defiantly play here again and again!

The course is short and good for beginners. The greens are not that great.

The course was in pretty bad shape compared to other courses in the area. I know with the floods that some of it is to be expected. For the price though it is a good course to get in a quick 9 after work.

This is good to practice your chip shot, but not much else. It is a great value but it's not like playing a real course. Hole 1 is the only time you can use your driver. There are two other par 4 holes, but there is a creek on both that forces you to lay up. Greens are pretty rough too.

Overall this course is great for those players on a budget who are looking for a challenge. The fairways are fairly narrow but the greens need a lot more caring. Even though I hit an 80ft putt for birdie, the greens made putting darn right impossible because they were not smooth at all and had little patches of grass to slow your shot down when you know it should have gone in with ease.
In the current conditions I would not pay full price, but If I am anxious to play and catch a great deal i would play this course again.

I really like this course, except for the greens which I think need some work. If these were good, it would be my favorite course in Austin area. They are too rough and bumpy, with a lot of roots and dirt showing. Please H.P. make those better and I'll be there once a week :)
