About
Located along the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay, Shalimar Pointe Golf Club enjoys a scenic, rolling landscape dotted with trees. This often-overlooked golf course has been considered one of the Emerald Coast's best-kept secrets but the word is beginning to get out. The course, due to its challenging but playable nature, has been used for U.S. Open qualifiers and it was host to the Emerald Coast Tour. The layout features immaculately manicured greens that are framed by strategic bunkering and water hazards on a number of holes. The golf course is challenging but fair with five sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels. The course is Shalimar Pointe's main attraction but it is complemented by extensive practice facilities including an expansive driving range, putting green and chipping green.

Shalimar Pointe
Slick and undulating greens… and tough to hold (which is fun/difficult)… Had tough cut pins the day I played… tee to green was ok/fine… sand in the bunkers and they were raked… great and a tough track… pleasant surprise… well worth it…

Nice not easy
Course is well maintained with an interesting layout but probably not for your average golfer. Lots of undulations in the fairways and on the greens makes it tough. Decent shots bring bad results unless you're "very" accurate. Lots of sand ,not only in bunkers but along fairways which obviously changes the roll you get on shots.

This golf course is in great shape the greens and fairways was awesome this course is tight so make sure you keep it in the short grass

Excellent challenge
The course was in good shape for fall/winter period. Greens were in good shape and fairways in good shape.

Golf Round.
The course is nice for the price but unfortunately had to stop after 12 holes. The pace of play was way too slow and there appeared to be no Course Ranger to speed things up. I would recommend to others but disappointed due to the pace.

Disappointing
Played this course a couple of months ago and enjoyed the round very much but already seems that the condition of the course has deteriorated. Also, had to pay for my wife to ride, have never been asked to pay for her here in the past. Can’t really understand the reason to charge for her to ride in a cart I would have been riding in alone. Why not allow her to enjoy a beautiful afternoon with me?
