About
Located along the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay, Shalimar Pointe Golf Club enjoys a scenic, rolling landscape dotted with trees. This often-overlooked golf course has been considered one of the Emerald Coast's best-kept secrets but the word is beginning to get out. The course, due to its challenging but playable nature, has been used for U.S. Open qualifiers and it was host to the Emerald Coast Tour. The layout features immaculately manicured greens that are framed by strategic bunkering and water hazards on a number of holes. The golf course is challenging but fair with five sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels. The course is Shalimar Pointe's main attraction but it is complemented by extensive practice facilities including an expansive driving range, putting green and chipping green.

Great
They have come a long way from 2 years ago when we last played it. A ton of improvements. Well worth it. Just don't be in any kind of hurry, members still get out there with foursome and fivesomes and absolutely will not let you play through. Overall, I highly recommend it.
Great family friendly course
Very friendly people at this course. I have not had a bad experience in multiple rounds. Family friendly. Pace of play is great and course is a great layout.

Fall Golf in the FL Panhandle
Finally the extreme humidity and heat has left the area. It was still a little warm, but the humidity is below 50% and golfing is much more enjoyable. The course is in great shape and the greens are putting true. Fairways are great too.

Awesome Spot
. Snuck away to this awesome little spot near Destin/Ft Walton Beach Fl.
Had to rent clubs but they had very reasonable prices ($40) for brand new top of the line 2022 Callaway set.
Some holes are alittle tight with this course running through a housing development. Most fairways were in good shape.

Great round!
This course will give you a few challenging holes, and greens that roll pretty good. Great value for the money, especially considering range balls are included with the round and the golf cart usb charger ports actually work.

Worth Playing
Played 3 days in a row beginning 9-11-23. Accommodating, friendly, and helpful employees. Greens and fairways were very good. Rough had a few bare spots, but not too bad. Would definitely play again.

Nice course for the value
An unassuming but nicely maintained course nestled in an older neighborhood. Plenty of hazards with water, sand, undulated greens, and sharp dog legs with long Par 3s. I thought some of the holes would be on the coast with views of the bay but it is mainly a neighborhood course. I enjoyed it. Will be back!

Best course for the money on the emerald coast
After recent renovations, the course is one of the best on the emerald coast. They continue to strive to make it better. The playing experience is great. Plays longer than it actually is. Staff is super friendly. Marshall keeps play moving!

Better than expeccted
My wife and I take short weekend trips to play as many different courses for the last 2 years. Shalimar was one of the course this past Labor Day weekend we played. It was raining the night before and that morning and luckily it stopped by 11:30am which was our tee time. It drizzled a little in the back nine but overall it was playable. The fairways and greens drainage were excellent considering how much rain we had. The course is well maintained, the staffs were friendly and inviting. Just an overall great experience. We will definitely return to this course.

Great customer service
The staff are very professional and obligatory. Due to a family emergency, we weren’t able to play, but they did change my tee time when o asked due to rain.
