About
Located along the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay, Shalimar Pointe Golf Club enjoys a scenic, rolling landscape dotted with trees. This often-overlooked golf course has been considered one of the Emerald Coast's best-kept secrets but the word is beginning to get out. The course, due to its challenging but playable nature, has been used for U.S. Open qualifiers and it was host to the Emerald Coast Tour. The layout features immaculately manicured greens that are framed by strategic bunkering and water hazards on a number of holes. The golf course is challenging but fair with five sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels. The course is Shalimar Pointe's main attraction but it is complemented by extensive practice facilities including an expansive driving range, putting green and chipping green.

Challenging layout
Extremely hot last weekend. But the heat wave is moving out and getting back to normal. Course is in excellent shape since the renovations.
Great customer service
I had booked a tee time through Golf Now for 9:06. Well, it was pouring rain, so I called and asked to have my tee time moved because of rain, and they were very nice and professional. We didn’t get to play, because of a family emergency, but I would definitely recommend them for their professionalism.

Good Ole Army Retirees Fellowship
Good course; great time playing with old Army buddies of various skill levels. Only real complaint was the greens were not recently trimmed making them a bit furry, which slowed down putts considerably. The one standout was the course staff - young adults who were very nice and accommodating. They even had a grilled burger plate special going on that day. I would play it again and do recommend it.

Great remodel
Course is still growing in from the remodel, but it is a great course. Really a gem in the area compared to higher priced courses.

Nice course that we played quickly
The course is in average condition. The condition is not quite as good as some of the Destin courses, but there is far less play and we played in 2:45. Price is less than Destin courses as well.

Good course
This is your typical old Florida golf course. Has some good bones and character. Good layout. Greens in very good shape. Tees and fairways also decent. Bunkers well kept. Nobody on the course Monday am. Booked night before on Golf Now. I would play it again. Keep up the good work boys.

Slow Greens but fair
Greens were slow but putts rolled good. Just needed to get use to them. Course conditions overall was good. Flys were really bad and biting, of course it was 95 degrees. I would recommend the course for the value though.

Really solid golf course. Enjoyed the back more than the front but overall very good spot. Great price and fantastic greens. Will definitely be back!

Really Good Course
Played Shalimar Pointe for the first time on 8/18/23. Drove from Panama City Beach. We booked on TeeOff and got a very good rate. The course was in very good condition. The greens were good except the heat has hurt some spots. We enjoyed the course with the exception that there were two very slow groups in front of us, with neither offering to allow us to play through. The twosome in front of us finally went through the foursome ahead of them, but the foursome would not let us through. At the turn, they picked up a fifth player which we thought was very poor. they were very slow to begin with. They refused to let us through. There was no one at all behind us, so we went back and played the front again and finished in good time. We will be back.

Good not great
Fairways have several rough areas. Greens are in good shape. Overall, nice course.

Great layout. Friendly guys in pro shop
This is a great layout and given other courses in the area it was a good value. Staff was very friendly let us go out early without being paired up. Talked with one of the locals afterwards and thanked us for playing. It was worth the drive from Marimar Beach.
