About
Located along the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay, Shalimar Pointe Golf Club enjoys a scenic, rolling landscape dotted with trees. This often-overlooked golf course has been considered one of the Emerald Coast's best-kept secrets but the word is beginning to get out. The course, due to its challenging but playable nature, has been used for U.S. Open qualifiers and it was host to the Emerald Coast Tour. The layout features immaculately manicured greens that are framed by strategic bunkering and water hazards on a number of holes. The golf course is challenging but fair with five sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels. The course is Shalimar Pointe's main attraction but it is complemented by extensive practice facilities including an expansive driving range, putting green and chipping green.

Nice course for the value
An unassuming but nicely maintained course nestled in an older neighborhood. Plenty of hazards with water, sand, undulated greens, and sharp dog legs with long Par 3s. I thought some of the holes would be on the coast with views of the bay but it is mainly a neighborhood course. I enjoyed it. Will be back!

Best course for the money on the emerald coast
After recent renovations, the course is one of the best on the emerald coast. They continue to strive to make it better. The playing experience is great. Plays longer than it actually is. Staff is super friendly. Marshall keeps play moving!

Better than expeccted
My wife and I take short weekend trips to play as many different courses for the last 2 years. Shalimar was one of the course this past Labor Day weekend we played. It was raining the night before and that morning and luckily it stopped by 11:30am which was our tee time. It drizzled a little in the back nine but overall it was playable. The fairways and greens drainage were excellent considering how much rain we had. The course is well maintained, the staffs were friendly and inviting. Just an overall great experience. We will definitely return to this course.

Great customer service
The staff are very professional and obligatory. Due to a family emergency, we weren’t able to play, but they did change my tee time when o asked due to rain.

Challenging layout
Extremely hot last weekend. But the heat wave is moving out and getting back to normal. Course is in excellent shape since the renovations.

Great customer service
I had booked a tee time through Golf Now for 9:06. Well, it was pouring rain, so I called and asked to have my tee time moved because of rain, and they were very nice and professional. We didn’t get to play, because of a family emergency, but I would definitely recommend them for their professionalism.

Good Ole Army Retirees Fellowship
Good course; great time playing with old Army buddies of various skill levels. Only real complaint was the greens were not recently trimmed making them a bit furry, which slowed down putts considerably. The one standout was the course staff - young adults who were very nice and accommodating. They even had a grilled burger plate special going on that day. I would play it again and do recommend it.

Great remodel
Course is still growing in from the remodel, but it is a great course. Really a gem in the area compared to higher priced courses.

Nice course that we played quickly
The course is in average condition. The condition is not quite as good as some of the Destin courses, but there is far less play and we played in 2:45. Price is less than Destin courses as well.

Good course
This is your typical old Florida golf course. Has some good bones and character. Good layout. Greens in very good shape. Tees and fairways also decent. Bunkers well kept. Nobody on the course Monday am. Booked night before on Golf Now. I would play it again. Keep up the good work boys.

Slow Greens but fair
Greens were slow but putts rolled good. Just needed to get use to them. Course conditions overall was good. Flys were really bad and biting, of course it was 95 degrees. I would recommend the course for the value though.
