The Chimneys Golf Course
About
The Chimneys Golf Course features 18 holes of exceptional golf. Our signature feature is the abundance of native rock found on-site, intricately hand-laid throughout the course to accent our greens, fairways, and pedestal tees. With strict attention to detail and no homes in sight, the course plays as a par 72, just shy of 6500 yards over five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all abilities. Combined with southern, hometown charm, The Chimneys is an experience unlike any public course in north Georgia.

Course is really greening up
Course is really coming into shape - fairways are greening up & the greens are recovering very well from being punched a few weeks ago and should be in excellent shape as the weather begins to warm up. Play was a little slow on the front nine at the beginning but sped up very well on the back nine. Some tight fairways on the front nine - Opens up on the back nine. Will play this course again soon.
Hasn't Changed a Bit!
Some buddies and I used to play this course all the time when we were at UGA and the course was owned by Eagle Greens. Now that we're back in the Atlanta are we decided to take a trip back to our old stomping grounds. The course hasn't missed a beat. The greens were rolling true just like always the fairways were starting to green up. If it wasn't so far we'd play there more. Great value for the money and and can't wait to get back. Only negative I have is that there was no grass on the range...but hey, it's early in the season. Hit'em straight!
Course was in good shape
Staff should work on friendliness like"Welcome to Chimneys" as an example.
Pay closer attention to having players be on the tee at their designated time.
Nice playing course
Had a good time. My only beef was that 1. It was crowded for a Monday. 2. The starter was grumpy and when I came up to him to start, I told him my tee time was 1:40pm and he didn't have down and paused and said 'go ahead' like it was inconvenient for him.
Great course, Fun, One of my favorites!
Chimney's is a fun course that I score well on. Wide Fairways. Some challenges with shot choice. Great for any handicap. Greens are in great shape. It rained the whole time during my last outing. So I'm not sure of the speed of the greens. The clubhouse has a snack bar. I wish the practice area had a bunker and chipping green. Nice driving range. Putting green is small and near hole #1.
Great Easter
Had a wonderful time playing here on Easter. Nice layout with a good mix of long and short holes. Greens were on the slower side, but rolled nice
Course needs some recovery time
The course is in need of some time to recover from Winter. The tee boxes need some rotation as most as in bad shape, as well as the range hitting area. Greens have good grass but aren't rolling true with some bumps and ball marks showing this is a sign of a public course where players don't fix marks. This is also evident by the three guys playing in camo, all in different groups.
Beautiful day for golf
First time at Chimneys in a while. Course was in good condition. Greens were aerated fairly recently but are almost grown back. I like the 9 hole option on golf now for this course
Great track!
I played as a single so I was held up a lot waiting but it comes with playing by yourself. I'm not a super long hitter (avg drive is around 280) and this course favors shorter hitters. Both sides were great but I liked the back nine more. Definitely will play here again !
Roll the Greens
Course is nice and in good shape except for the greens. The grass was taller on the greens then on some areas of the fairways. Please roll the greens Chimneys!! I would recommend waiting a few weeks before visiting there.
This course is very good
Enjoyed our first time at this course. Will definitely return
Great Course
The greens had been sanded, were a bit hairy, but rolled true. Beautiful layout, with great views and vistas. Plenty of birdies to be had and low scoring opportunities.
Staff is friendly and the grill lady is great....best brats arounds. Complimentary continental breakfast. Good value for the money.
Great course
The course was very nicely kept and maintained. Greens were super fast. Had to wait for every tee shot, but they were packed with players. Get a hot dog at the turn from the lady in the club house, you'll be thankful you did. Great experience overall.
Excellent course, incredible value!
Greens were true, just a little wet from all the rain but I definitely will be coming back.
Loved this course!
nice day for golf
I played on a Wednesday afternoon. Not busy at all. Course is starting to come into shape after the winter. Greens were good. Course was challenging, particularly some long par 4's.
NICE GOLF COURSE
OK GOLF COURSE........PRICE WAS RIGHT.....HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL SPRING TO SEE HOW GOOD CONDITIONS ARE.....EARLY MARCH AND WIND WAS RIPPING AND IN THIRTIES.....NICE LAYOUT AND NICE TOUCH WITH TEE BOXES......GREENS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION CONSIDERING THIS TIME OF YEAR
Chimneys golf course
Course was in decent condition for Georgia this time of year greens were in good condition and rolled true and faster than they looked. Fun course to play not very long, bunkers were in good shape more sand than other local courses I've played this winter. Clubhouse had no ice they turned ice machine off for winter it was 75 the day I played so it might be time to crank it up.
FirstMarchRound
Perfect day for enjoying a round of golf on a fun course.
Excellent Short Course
One of the best short par 72s I've played. Well worth the drive out from Johns Creek, possibly worth going back for about $20 during the week. If I lived closer I'd consider a weekday membership which is a real bargain.
Friendly staff, greens were fast but well kept, only 1 or 2 long forced carries, and a variety of holes (I hit every club in the bag at least once). Only one concern: I only saw one cooler and no ball washers so you'll wanna bring your own bottled H20.
