Always Fun To Play
We played Red/White and it took 4.5 hours. The two guys in our foursome were a bit slow. We could have been done in 4 hours. Greens were a little sandy, but not too bad.
4th wheel with 3 other guys
Got a last minute bug to play, and Golf Now obliged. I was the 4th in a threesome. They were old buddies having a good time. Round was very reasonable and comfortable. Weather and course were good. Apparently new owners have tightened up the course a bit, but it was fair. I’ll come back as time permits.
Poor maintenance
We played white/blue today and had played this course just 3 months prior. Then it was in great shape. Now they have lost and mean totally lost several tee boxes where they are pretty much just sand. Some tees with grass had weeds. The fairways were in good shape and the greens will be fine once they fully recover from aeriating.
Almost there...
Since the new owners have taken over the club is slowly becoming one of my favorites again. The conditions and the grounds are showing the improvement and the greens are recovering well. Tee boxes being rebuilt and trees being cleared is making quite the difference. Next season I expect the club will be in great shape.
Holiday weekend round
I picked up a 4th slot on Golf Now, and missed the rain. Hot day but course was in great shape. Fair and firm. Enjoyed it will come back again soon-when it cools down a bit.
Course is in great shape
I enjoyed this course very much. Greens are in wonderful shape and roll true and fast. Bunkers have nice white sand. The staff was very friendly. The carts are relatively new and have USB ports and speakers on board. I will definitely play this course again!
challenging course and great shape
Greens are in great shape, rolling fast and true. New carts where nice and the club house look great. Pace of play was great, especially for a weekend round. Will defiantly be back soon. Still haven't played the Blue course so looking forward to playing that soon.
Fairways aerated
Over all the course was good. They aerated the fairways which made for some tight lies, but greens were excellent. Pace was a little slow, but normal for weekend play.
Poor Management
Would not recommend Bradshaw Farms GC after my experience today. I was playing with a friend and we were placed with another twosome. The four of us were playing from the blue tees. The ranger (Tony) forced us to skip tee shot on #7 and accused us of slow play. We were in front of and behind groups of threesomes hitting from the gold tees. Ruined a good round and I WILL NOT BE BACK!!
Should be ashamed!!!
The people that run this place should be ashamed charging $70 to play this course last Saturday 4/6/2019 as there was hardly any grass in the fairways due to all the rain we had and the greens were decent but in-consistent speed wise. But to charge $70 for a course in that kind of shape??? Want go back just for that reason. A friend called and made a tee time for us and did not ask price so that is on us but we want make this mistake again. We played here last year and it was $50 and the place was absolutely gorgeous but beware now folks it is nothing like last year yet and they charged us $70!!!!
Best greens in town hopefully this player will come back considering the 15 inches of rain we have had in TWO WEEKS!
Short Sighted Organization
In decades of avid golfing, rarely have I encountered such poor customer service as I experienced by the parent company of Bradshaw Farms Golf Course recently--even more disappointing is that it was in conjunction with Golf Now, of which I have been a VIP for many years.
In late Oct, three friends and I were set to play at Bradshaw Farms Golf Course. I booked us all through Golf Now as I pay for the VIP membership with them. It had been a while since I played the course since it is about 45 minutes away from where I live. However, one of my regular golf buddies is moving about two miles away so we thought it was time to visit again as it was going to be an easy choice for many rounds in the near future.
The weather ended up being misty and overcast with bouts of full on rain and, at the last minute, one of the four guys decided to not come. I've had this happen before and courses were always understanding when not crowded and in dismal conditions. Despite those conditions that would drive most folks away, the remaining three of us braved the weather and had a great time (other than the first cart breaking down at the driving range). Afterward, we went to the clubhouse and had lunch and a couple beers and watched some football. We booked another foursome for the next Saturday and were happy to plan on it being our "go-to" course now that our friend was moving so close.
Then on Monday I got charged for the 4th player who did not play. When I phoned Golf Now to explain the circumstances, that the weather was horrid and the course virtually empty, a representative told me that this was the default practice of Bradshaw's management company but that "they typically refund the fee if requested." So they would make the request and get back to me.
After a month of weekly calls (since no one at Golf Now ever followed up with me as promised) I've discovered that Bradshaw has declined to refund me the $65 charge. We'd already canceled the foursome we booked while waiting to see how the course treats its patrons, and now that we know we will not be returning to a course so unaccommodating. After the funds we spent that day and the amount we would be spending there in the future, it is a shame they feel having that $65 is more important than the $350 a weekend we would drop each time we visit. Pretty short sighted method of running a business. Find another course that appreciates your business far more than Bradshaw Farms--we certainly have.
You sure you played bradshaw or did you have one too many six packs. Place is in unbelievably great shape. Maybe u were at bradshaw bowling alley!
