Fairways Super Thin
Great layout, good greens....fairways are very thin, spongy. Have played here since 2010, probably worst fairway condition I've seen here.
Sand bunkers have been discussed enough in previous reviews.
Maybe with some dry/hot weather, the grass will start to grow in May/June.
Bad fairways
The fairways are in horrible shape. Even if there was grass it would not be good.
Bunkers need attention!

Come a long way. Fun time.
Been playing at Olde Liberty for a few years now. It has come a long way. There are a few rough patches along the sides of the fairway on some holes, but play good golf and you won’t have to worry about that. The greens are in great shape. Derek in the pro shop is great. Challenging course but come ready to play. It is not crowded. You're not playing on top of other players like other courses in the area and it’s secluded.

Course layout is good and more challenging than it appears. Fairways have numerous rough patches but it’s early spring so nothing you likely won’t find at comparable courses for the price.

Disappointed
My first visit to the club…. And probably my last. Course is in dreadful shape….. obviously no effort made to maintain fairways or mold covered greens and I was worried the cart would fall through some of the wooden bridges.
Add to that a very rude / unfriendly clubhouse attendant, and not much to enjoy about the round.

Course was very good for the varied level of the foursome.
Had a very good outing. Was prepared for poor service and course from reviews, but found them not to be true. Staff was exceptionally friendly and course condition was average, but that was because of the time of the year. Excited to visit course again in the summer when grass has filled in and greens are less sandy, but not complaining--expect that to be the conditions at this time of year.

Olde Liberty Need Some Work
It is early Spring so I expect that fairways, greens may need some time to green up. That is very true here, beyond that many of the fairways are washed out with bare spots, some quite large. This takes away from my rating significantly. Otherwise it is a very good layout (except for the area under construction between the third and fourth hole?). The greens are in good shape for this time of year and quite fast. Lastly the sand traps are in need of repair. I can see the beauty of the course and hopefully these maintenance issues can be addressed. Enjoyed the round!

Conditions OK
I'm an apologist for this course because I think it's one of the best layouts in the entire area--to play it properly you need to have control of all your clubs and shot shapes, and the greens are large and undulating but fair. I wish I lived closer so that it could be my home course.
With that said, other reviewers are not entirely wrong on course conditions. There are scoured areas in fairways, and most bunkers need new sand. The greens had some irregular growth, but they are mowed well and rolled true. In summary, if you're hitting the ball where it should be hit, you're on grass 99% of the time. If not, just take ground under repair and move your ball.
I will always believe that the layout here trumps any conditions issues. But if you really care about excellent conditions tee to green, you'll be happier somewhere else.

Course bad shape
Course was in really bad shape. Some holes had fairways that were completely washed away. Lots of bare spots.

Good course for working out kinks
This is not a course anyone would ever choose to play as their first choice…but it is okay for just working on your game. Have always liked the layout - very challenging - but the course conditions leave a lot to be desired. And it never helps that the staff running the place it seems is always very poor at interacting with the public. I will probably play here again another day when I can’t get on at another course that is nicer and better run.
