First of all let me say the only reason we play this course is because my brother lives in the general vicinity. Mr Personality behind the counter was a total gem. Looking at other reviews I see I am not the first to run into him. The day before I had booked my round on Golf Now. Hot Deal. Which is usually always prepay. Upon arriving I was informed that there was no way I could have prepaid at this particular time slot. He insisted I must have paid a convenience fee or something. And I informed him that it was a hot deal and I redeemed my points for the convenience fee. Then he told me that there's no way that could have happened. They don't offer hot deals at the time slot that I booked. And that I would have to produce proof that I paid. At this point I asked him was my name on the tee time. He said yes. Now I'm thinking how did golf now book the tee time and not inform him that I payed. GolfNow is a pretty big company. But nevertheless I needed to pull up an email. I asked if I could use a cart to retrieve my phone from my car. He made me sign the cart out. Which I did. I thought it was a little petty. I'm a 62-year-old retiree. Did he think I was going to steal his cart? After retrieving my phone returning to the clubhouse and pulling up my confirmation. He hands me back my phone and says you're good. No, I'm sorry, how did that happen. Not to mention through all this he had been a little snappy. I felt like he was accusing me of lying. And then when I proved him wrong he was embarrassed. So I take my phone back and I'm about to walk out the door and he says hey I don't appreciate the attitude. I'm thinking after all this you don't appreciate my attitude. I owned a retail business for 32 years that maintained a A+ rating with the BBB. I know how to treat customers. This is not it. So after me politely telling him that we would not be back. And him politely telling us that was fine with him. My brother goes on to tell me that the guy had been rude to him several times before. And let me just stay for the record. No one ever raised their voice. No one ever used any foul language. He's just rude. And this is not the type of person I would want representing my business.

Solid layout, pace of play concerns, horrible fairways
The clubhouse is basically a trailer. The only reason we came here was to hopefully avoid the busy sundays that happen on other courses in the area but we were wrong. We played the first hole in a few minutes, then ran into a group of SIX on the 2nd hole... That's right, 6 golfers. So if you're not into waiting for a group of 6 to hit in front of you, avoid this. The bermuda fairways showed no signs of green coloring, and we played "preferred lie" from the fairways if you can call it that. All around, great place for a 6 hour round. 5 stars. I live less than 20 minutes away but I'd probably save time by driving somewhere 40 minutes from me.

Crap
Should be called Ole Clay, everything about this course is a joke. Old loud stinky carts, joke of a fairway that’s nothing but literally clay, clay bunkers and dirt tee boxes but hey! Stay on the cart paths.. trying to keep this clay maintenance up. Plus the dude at the front desk hates his life

Not worth the money
Fairways have no grass. hitting off hardpan from the middle of the fairway.

A lot of other courses in the area that are much nicer that are cheaper. The conditions aren’t good and they had no starter so the pace of play was terrible the whole time. I won’t be going back anytime soon and I don’t recommend it

Don’t bother playing this course
This poor course is a washed out waste of a good layout. I can’t believe this course has gotten worse but it has. It’s just hard clay with no grass and huge ruts everywhere. The bunkers are dirt and water holes. I hope someone with money and help from GCSAA can bring this place back to playability.

Stay away
This quite possibly was the worse course I’ve ever played. Between the Sahara desert fairways and beetle bugs on flag pols/holes, we left after 12 holes. Definitely not worth the money I payed for playing.

Needs Major Improvements.
The fairways lack grass, but plenty of rutted mud. Most of the time you need to move your ball to maybe find a patch of grass to hit from. Greens were in good shape.

Getting better...
I have played 4x at Olde Liberty and can honestly say every time is a better experience. Course still needs attention, but you can't beat the experience for the price.
