The Golf Club at Eagle Creek
About
The Golf Club at Eagle Creek in Moyock was designed with all players in mind. At just over 6,700 yards from the back tees, the course is not overly long but there are several holes that provide some length. Formerly known as Mill Run, the course underwent renovations and a name change under new ownership. The golf course is wide open, which means wind will definitely come into play during your round and there are also several water holes. The course has a links feel without any of the harsh links penalties. Instead, golfers will find that the landing areas are quite generous, offering a little room for error. Four different sets of tees make the golf course even more approachable for a wide range of skill levels. Another appealing aspect of the Golf Club at Eagle Creek is the fact that it's conveniently located less than an hour from Kitty Hawk and the OBX beaches.

Wet
this is a great course to play. The rain made the course more damp than normal but great course. Only able to play the back 9 due to water on course. Wide open course if you keep ball in fairways.
Wet
this course has a excellent layout. Due to the rain the course was very damp and was cart path only. Only able to play the back 9 however the course is straight and wide.
Great time
Second time at this course and enjoyed it just as much as the first. We are about a hour away or we would definitely golf at this course more often!
Review of this guy's review u319087568 Stay away from this place
I played with this idiot on 6/24 that left this review u319087568
Stay away from this place
He only paid $16 for 18 holes .the girl behind counter bent over backwards to help him. Meanwhile he was rude and nasty towards her the entire time . He complained about everything. He is a hack as well . The entire round he complained about everything making my round miserable. Please sir if you read this stay away from golf anywhere because you make it miserable for everyone else . No wonder you don't have anyone to play with . Your review should have read "stay away from me " I am a miserable old man . Now ! The course is in great shape and the lady behind the counter was super nice. I will definitely be back and hopefully I never see that idiot again .
Large landing areas; friendly greens (good shape, albeit, mostly just straight putts).
Open farmland converted to golf course, large fairways, limited trees. Greens were in good shape, albeit, not too difficult to read. Very enjoyable walk. Good course to work on basics for $23/round (definitely worth $23).
Very friendly staff, incl both the pro shop gentlemen and the crew that mowed the fairways-
First time player here: had a hard time figuring out distance, not many of the 200/150/100 stakes were present and I forgot my range finder!!
btw- live by Signature GC (Near Pungo area of VB), only took 37 min to drive to course.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting The Golf Club at Eagle Creek. We hope to see you again in the future.
A great time, friendly staff
Just a fun layout. The young lady in the proshop was very warm and inviting

Arrived at the course at 9:45 for my 10:26 tee time on a Wednesday morning giving me plenty of time to go to the driving range before my round like I always do. Noticed their were only 2 carts outside, and when I went to check in I was told a "huge" tournament just started. Each person in the tournament took a cart because of Covid, which is fine imo. But then I was told 2 others were gonna play with me, resulting in a shared cart and not being able to warm up like normal, I became annoyed. Why have multiple tee times available on GolfNow including a cart if you're gonna give out every single cart besides 2 to the tournament players? And since I'm not in the tournament I guess me wanting to social distance from strangers doesn't matter to them. The women working found a extra cart in the barn after she saw my anger, but I was already fed up. It was cart path only, but the tourney players were parking on the fringe and driving wherever they want despite their being puddles and wet spots everywhere. No Marshall to be seen. I played here once a week for over a year, and today was my last round there. I would suggest going to a different course in the area for anyone thinking about playing here.

Excellent staff and greens
Everyone is so nice and helpful. The course is in good shape and the greens are well maintained. Fun course layout and the rates are terrific. The grill is awesome! Lots of area for people outside with the right amount of spacing.
Nice but plain
Course was nice, but, no elevation. Greens we really good.
Thanks you for coming
Neighborhood course, and not COVID-19 recommended.
Obviously playing golf in the wake of COVID-19 is a risk in most public spaces, golf course are not the exception. The Golf Club at Eagle Creek should be taking precautions beyond posting signage in the clubhouse and fabricating hand sanitizer that feels like a glue and soap mix much more serious.
When we visiting this course the golf carts were not wiped down, they were allowing patrons to ride multiple players per cart. (The new industry standard is one player to a cart and the starter observes the carts while they are disinfected) I saw a couple had there son in the middle of the golf cart, which 3 to a cart is unbelievable. They ran out of carts and were distributing them as they were returned. A groundsman issued our cart to us, as is. When asked to wipe it down, he walked over to a blue sludge bucket and grabbed a dirty towel dipped it in the water and proceeded to wipe our golf cart down.
This was unimaginable, considering the times that we are living in were cleanliness is no longer an option, it’s a priority. This modicum and process told me everything I needed to know about how serious The Golf Club at Eagle Creek is handling sanitation and distribution of golf carts. We had plans to eat and participate and padding the local business in the form of buying food drinks and other things from the clubhouse. However, after watching this display and how things are being handled in other areas we decided not to. The only reason why we continued out to the course is because I had an H20 and bleach blend to spray our cart and golf balls.
Be mindful as well, that the locals make you feel weird both on and off the course, almost a feeling like “where did y’all come from?” I don’t know how you fix that, but as they say “you can’t fix stupid!”
You should know that with the exception of the pro shop staff the locals are down home. As we were making the turn there was a bike rally at the pro shop. Extremely loud bikes with music. Unlike anything at a golf course we’ve experienced played.
The course was very much wide open, but the conditions were not as advertised. Clearly, the locals are doing the reviews. But, in fairness to the conditions of the course it was very wide open and the greens were in phenomenal shape. Tee boxes, nope! Fairways, nope! Very bad tee boxes and fairways. This course is outlined by single family homes so if you hit one out of play you’ll possibly be in the backyard of someone’s home or in there pool.
To the GM or Head Pro, as a suggestion please consider only allowing one player per cart particularly if there are teetimes booked in advance. Also please consider putting a small inch cut PVC pipe inside the flag-pin so the ball does not go down in the hole where other players are sticking their hands. Lastly please encourage players to not take the flag out of the hole as germs pass freely when this happens.

Hilarious review! You couldn’t be more wrong about eagle creek they do so much for the community and as far as I’ve seen have taken lots of sanitation steps and we play there weekly. If you were really trying to “suggest” things why didn’t you say anything to the staff or email them directly instead of writing a book to try and bash and great local place.
Great day
Played here on Mother’s Day. Had a great time. Course not busy people extremely friendly.. if looking for a challenging course this is not it, but if want a great easy low pressure time this is the place.. Plus beers cold and food excellent
Enjoyable
This is a great course to get a practice round, Wide open with minimal obstacles (there is water that keeps it real) greens and tee boxes in superb shape! Fairways have a great lush texture. Chicken tenders in the grill- Awesome!
The course provided a great round of golf!
I've played this course four or five times and had a great time each round! The fairways are wide and the greens were rolling well and in great shape. There are many holes with water hazards that are challenging. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I drive from the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake. The experience is always worthwhile and is a great value!
