About
The Golf Club at Eagle Creek in Moyock was designed with all players in mind. At just over 6,700 yards from the back tees, the course is not overly long but there are several holes that provide some length. Formerly known as Mill Run, the course underwent renovations and a name change under new ownership. The golf course is wide open, which means wind will definitely come into play during your round and there are also several water holes. The course has a links feel without any of the harsh links penalties. Instead, golfers will find that the landing areas are quite generous, offering a little room for error. Four different sets of tees make the golf course even more approachable for a wide range of skill levels. Another appealing aspect of the Golf Club at Eagle Creek is the fact that it's conveniently located less than an hour from Kitty Hawk and the OBX beaches.

Slow pace
Go here regularly. Love the course. People are awesome. That being said there is never a starter or martial. We had a group of 5 in front of us that were taking multiple tee shots each every single tee. We were a 2 some and tried to keep our distance until it became an annoyance. They didn't care to let us through and knew they were backing up everyone behind them. Most days pace of play is fine here and people are usually polite enough to let a play through happen, but this isn't the first encounter where a martial would really help keep the pace at least reasonable. I do recommend to play here and will definitely be back.

Nice course
There are lots of good things to say about this course. The greens are excellent and have been all year. The layout is a nice challenge. However, as much as we don’t like to be in sand traps, there should be at least one trap around every green.

Great Course and Great Staff
My wife and I just started playing golf last September. We played here and loved it. Shawna, Dan, and Pete are all awesome.
The course is nice, the staff is great, and the food is AMAZING.
Good for the money

Ideal Saturday Round
Dan, Shawna, Taylor, Pete and the bar staff is why we consistently drive 30min to play this course in all honesty. Always make people feel welcome and ensure a great round no matter the day or time. Soggy Fun
Thoroughly enjoyable round of golf even if a little slow. Only real issue was the course drainage, even with a few dry days a number of the holes were made more difficult by standing water.
Seriously considering joining the club and playing all my rounds here.

Great course for the money
The course was pretty good for the amount of rain it got. Pro shop has some cool stuff you can't find anywhere Some parts were muddy but nothing you can do there. The only complaint is the place of play. I don't even know how because it was a Monday middle of the day and it was not busy, but there were times when 5 groups were on one hole waiting. All in all good course and for the money I'll be back

Nice course
The fairways were really nice ball set right on top of the grass also The greens were amazing there was no dead spots Just awesome Greens had a great time
best bang for your buck
Eagle creek is a course that i play often, the staff is very friendly and this course is one of the best around in my opinion, the pace of play can be a hassle on busy days and i think they need a marshall to help pace of play but overall my favorite course in the area

I love this course, and will happily drive past three nearer courses to play this one, but my word do they need someone on course to sort out the pace issues.
Was there Monday Nov 28th, after a really bad pace of play experience just before Thanksgiving, checked with the person in the clubhouse who told me the group in front left half an hour before me and the group behind me weren't expected for another 30 minutes.
I spent 15 minutes on the range hitting balls to give the group in front of me a bit more time to get ahead, and for the most part enjoyed my first 8 holes. At the 9th hole I waited 10 minutes before I was able to tee off which was a minor annoyance but figured there was a good chance I'd be able to play through this group at the 10th or 11th worse... Nope.
After 12 holes I'd had just about enough, at the 13th there was a group waiting (3) a group looking for their ball (4) and another group on the green (4) so I decided to skip the hole and go right to 14... Mistake number 2.... There was a group waiting (2) a group on the tee box (3) waiting for it to clear and a group on the green (2).... So I turned around and drove to the 15th where there was a threesome teeing off. Played through at the 14th but found five groups at 16 & 17 by which time I just couldn't be bothered with waiting for so many groups to play through.
This wouldn't have been so bad, had I not experience two groups of six and a group of eight the week before slowing things down to a crawl.
The course is in great condition, and provides a great test for all skill levels, but waiting 10-15 minutes to tee off between holes as early as the 9th hole makes for such a dull afternoon (especially when you are a solo player).
I didn't bother calling the clubhouse to complain this time, last time I did the person on the phone was extremely rude.
Eagle Creek, you have to do better, other courses in the area that are inferior to you manage to keep the pace of play up on much busier days. Having big issues like this in November is crazy...

I gave it a 5 star in most cases but pace of play. Sometimes, depending on golfer ability starting every 10 minutes is not realistic, it causes backups on the tee boxes. Other than that, great course, grassy fairways, greens in great shape. Grounds crew seems to be constantly working the course. Price is good. Food is good at the grill. Almost hate to give it this rating because it will draw too many golfers.
My Out of Town Quests Love this Course
We get quite a few quests as we are about 45 minutes from OBX. They are always requesting We play Eagle Creek. Greens are in outstanding shape....pretty flat course....wide fairways...fun course to play with a great bar and grill as the 19th hole.
