Loved this hole! Just get it up in the air and gravity takes over! Longest drive I’ve had all year!! Photo submitted by Drewhef on 09/07/2019

Hidden Gem
Great course and layout. A must play. Everything was in good shape except for the greens they were woefully fuzzy which made them slow as heck, but we made the most of it. More signage is needed to the 1 and 10. Also at 14 or 15 more signage is needed to find out which way to go. All in all excellent course, and well manicured.
Excellent value for money
This course is well worth the drive from Charlotte. Played late afternoon on a Saturday for $26. Nobody out there & played in just over 2 hours. Course conditions are excellent and if I’m being critical of anything it’s that the greens are slow. Range facilities & putting green are good. Restaurant & clubhouse are very nice. Staff were first class! I will definitely be heading back to play and hopefully quite often
No water
Enjoyed the play, only no water spotted around course. I saw one water jug through out play. 95 degrees playing today. Not good for a 73 year old.
Great Value for the Drive Outside CLT
Great value for the price. Beautiful clubhouse and amazingly friendly staff all around. Food at the turn is decent, but food and drinks for the 19th hole is legit.
Course is challenging enough for a bogey/DB player to make fun risk-reward decisions. Layout is cool. Greens were punched the last time we played on 8/2/2020, but have been pristine and FAST the previous 3 times we’ve played in the past few months. (I’m not sure what others were referring to with garbage greens, because they seem to be taking care of the course nicely given how hot it has been.) I would highly recommend.
Great course. Highly recommended
This course is beautiful. It's gotten a few poor reviews based on the greens being punched and bumpy. I think this is a bit unfair given that this is a maintenance operation and not reflective of typical playing conditions. I've played here three times in the past two months and will continue to come back, even though it is a little bit of a drive from Charlotte.
The layout is fun and challenging for my game; a 15 HC playing from the blue tees. There are rolling hills and some nice elevation changes from tee to green. It is wide enough to mishit some shots without being penalized too badly, yet tough enough that you have to be really thoughtful to score. Prior to the aeration, the greens were rolling firm and true. During my 8/02 round, the greens were indeed bumpy and slower; showing signs of recovery and probably another two weeks out from being really nice.
If you can make the drive, go give it a drive. The staff is friendly and the clubhouse is top-notch.
Hidden gem a short drive from Charlotte
This place is gorgeous! Clubhouse is top-notch. Beautiful interiors and wrap-around patio. Full-service restaurant with great daily specials. We usually play during the week and are surprised by the amazing prices and fairly empty course.
Holes 1 and 2 are fairly tough, and can be a bit deflating for the less experienced golfer, but things definitely pick up after that. Wide open fairways with challenging pin placements. The greens are a bit bumpy right now, after being aerated recently, but you just need to adjust a bit.
We played the course in a little over 3 hours, this time, but it could get a bit slower on a weekend. We've seen people complain about pace of play. We see a lot of people playing multiple balls off the tee and/or in the fairway. If you play regular, pace of play shouldn't be an issue.
Quiet course
The greens had been aerated through the week- but they were playable. The rest of the course was in good condition. The first time playing this course in June, the greens were in great condition- and with the maintenance they should get back to normal soon.
We like this course due to the quality And less crowds than other courses in Charlotte.
Greens
The greens were in terrible condition. Wasn’t aware of aerating. Brown and bare.
Very good course, greens are bumpy
Very nice course w private club feel. Good layout, but some blind tee shots. Greens were bumpy, and will be aerated soon. Worth the drive from Charlotte a few times per year. Wish I lived closer.
True private club feel, good layout.
Enjoyed playing here, a true private club feel. Good layout but greens here bumpy. No crowds (I played on Monday). Aeration due in July. A long way from home, but hope to come back a few times per year. Housing around the course has stalled which leaves most holes tree lined.
A Day at Tillery Tradition Country Club
I played on 7/06/2020 and can say that the course has gone downhill. Some tee boxes had dead grass some had mostly sand. The fairways are getting thin and balls don't sit up and now produce a tight lie. The greens are bumpy and losing grass in spots and putt like you are on shag carpet. I will say that there is a note in clubhouse that they will be aeriating the greens on July 21 and 22 but I will not be back until cooler weather.
