The layout of the course is excellent, however the fairways, cart path and tee boxes need maintenance. And the bunkers need sand.
If you are looking for a course that challenges you and a layout that is pleasurable to play, this is the course. If U are expecting a manicured golf course, look elsewhere. The course is in need of repairs.
The staff was courteous. I enjoyed playing the course
Good course
This course being in Asheboro, there were not many people playing on a Monday.
Greens are well maintained but seems a little bit slow but not east.
This course is not your very weekend home course but
playing once in a few months would be fun.
Nice layout to take some pictures with your golf buddies.
a playable,obstacle course
Considering it's still dormant, the fairways played well. Greens were fast. For those not familiar, there are no plain, straight holes: Always shooting over or around something. So be confident about your yardages and ball flight. Very enjoyable. But take water and snacks, cause there ain't nothing on the course but golf. Later in the year, I would rate the course higher.
Tough course
Tough course for a I handicap golfer. Shotmaking is imperative that you are on your game. Greens are tough, but very true .
Wow what a challenge
First time playing greeted by awesome staff the young lady was great explained everything was awesome. Be ready for a tricky game of golf awesome layout reward or punish gilf at its best. Course in good shape well maintained beautiful scenery . Highly recommend this course a must play for some tricky golf
Still number one in area
Love the challenge well maintained for late winter green good fairways good it is a shot makers course not for sissy
Wow
One of the best layouts in the state. Course was in great condition. Really quick greens. The thing I like about this course the most is the fact that you have to use your imagination on lots of shots. Using the lay of the land to your advantage. One of my favorite courses around
This course is one of a kind
Great views and challenging but very rewarding course. Plays remarkably well from the whites for intermediate player. Get ready for a long day from the tips! All in all, loved it and will play it every chance I get and I live in Pinehurst!
Destination Course
Even though the course was wet from heavy rain and winter conditions, the greens were receptive and putted true and fair. This is the best golf course I've played in North Carolina even in sloppy conditions. It has a totally different look, design, and playability than the usual courses. Great fun! I didn't even mind getting a little beat up on my score.
We played this course on our way back from myrtle...
The course was very wet.. but it was January 1...
Very challenging track.. you will hit every stick in your bag..
Lot of rolling hills..& elevation changes..
I would love this see this course in June..& or October
Have Fun
I had read a lot of conflicting things about Tot Hill before I went and played. I had made up my mind before playing that I was just going to try and have as much fun as possible and embrace the quirks.
This not your typical golf course. There are blind shots, deceiving yardages, and abnormal holes. However, if you play the golf course with an open mind and try to embrace the quirkiness and have as much fun as you can, the course is a blast. If you try and "shoot a number" and take it really seriously, you're probably going to hate the course.
Just embrace the course being different because it's a really fun golf course.
The most unique course you will ever play, it's a masterpiece. One of my favorites!
You will either love it or you will hate it! This is one of the most beautiful courses I've ever played. Words can't describe it , you will have to experience it for yourself. If I lived closer to it, I would play it regularly.
When you play it for the first time, plan on playing 36 holes or playing with someone that has played it before that can caddy for you. This golf course forces you to think about every shot you play, and the consequences if you don't hit the shot you're trying to play. It has no mercy for a missed shot. There is native rock every where! Play the slopes!
The course has always been in good shape when I have played it, and the greens are normally medium / fast speed, which makes them fair for the difficulty of them. This golf course will test every facet of your game, from your golf skill to your decision making in managing a course. If you don't have both, you will have a heart breaking day on the green mile! It's a shot makers course and you have to be able to place your ball or you will have no chance of scoring well. It will also test your putting skills like no other course I've played.
The wildlife is beautiful there also, I've seen deer and wild turkey. It's so quiet and peaceful, it's my kinda of course! I wished the there where more course like this to play!!!
Challenging Layout
This course is always in good condition with fast greens. I enjoy playing the layout, which will challenge your game. There is definitely a penalty for bad shots. I look forward to returning.
Winter golf
My son was up from Florida and hie his brother and wanted to get a round in. The staff was a lot friendlier than they were the last time we played the course . The fairways were ok considering that it was winter . The greens were pretty good .we had a really good time playing and look forward to going back in the summer.
Nice December day.
The course was in pretty good shape considering the time of year. Pace of play was fine on the front nine but the back nine was extremely slow. We had a good time and will be back. The course staff was friendly and helpful.
Tot Hill Farm is an interesting course
Not bad for this time of year. Was fairly cold, but I enjoyed the layout. It is a fairly tough layout for the average golfer. I got a great deal on GolfNow, so I wanted to give this a try. I read and heard mixed reviews. It is definitely not a course for everyone.
This Course Is Awesome!!!
Tot Hill Farm Is An Awesome Golf Course To Play. It has many Challenges!!! Definitely Would Recommend To Any Golfer To Come Try A Round. Never Had A Bad Experience At This Course And It's Beautiful To See At Any Time Of The Year!!! I'll Definitely Keep Going Back To Play There It Is My Favorite Course I've Found To Play Yet!!!
Fun / Challenging
Fun course , nice layout. Challenging but not unable to score. Big slivers and hook shots need not apply. Cannot be affeaid of a lay up.
