Fairways were softer than normal, greens were definitely slower than normal, shaggy like a pool table.

The greens were an absolute disaster. Punched, aerated, and so sandy and slow

We paid like $78 each for this course. The greens were eariated and punched and it was an awful experience. We would like our money back. The course said they would have if we went through them but we had to contact golfnow. Please refund for the foursome or maybe credit the full amount of $320 something for a future outing(s). Thanks again

Very nice course. Fairways need some work on some holes and bushes need trimmed back on the cart paths between holes. Overall though a great place to play.

Great course. Beautiful surroundings. Golf cart just ok (no cover for clubs and it was raining). Course jn excellent condition.

I have nothing but good things to say about this course - well maintained, challenging, consistent throughout. For this to be a bearable experience again, the course has to hire staff born after the fall of the confederacy. No clue how to work the POS system, no clue how to deal with GolfNow tee times, might as well have not tried. Another in my group booked through GolfNow and didn’t mention we were fully prepaid, so when I checked in I paid my share. Upon learning that wasn’t necessary and taking the matter to the staff to correct the charge, they acted as if I spoke Swahili and got super flustered. After 30 minutes they finally showed me a ticket with VOIDED scratched on it. At the time of this review we are 4 days from the void with no refund. I called today to see if we can get it figured out, old guy was still as confused.

Call ahead, make a time over the phone. Don’t trust these people with technology.

That being said, I will play this course again. I very much enjoyed my on course experience

Greens are back to good shape. It is a challenging course, but fun to play.

Fun layout. Greens are in great shape. Don’t get why there are so many negative reviews. If you’re gonna nitpick about stuff like no drinking water then join a private club or bring your own!!

Some fairways and greens could use a little tlc but overall a fun challenging course for $60.

I was unable to make my tee time due to a personal emergency. Carolina Lakes notified GolfNow and proceeded to charge my card the full $82 green fee. This is unacceptable and a total rip off. If you can't make your tee time, call the pro shop immediately & cancel. FYI, pace of play at Carolina Lake is historically awful. Prepare for a 5.5 hour round minimum.

For whatever reasun this course doues not provide a course layout on the back of the scoresheet. Unusual!

Setting that aside this 9 was fun to play. Nice variety of tees to acommodate all level of players. Too bad the front nine does not match the "fun level" of the back.

Greens were VERY SLOW. Fairways in fair condition but not at a good level.

NICE sand in all the traps.

I read where the greens were in bad shape last fall. It looks like they resodded large sections, and now greens get an 8 of 10. Fairways appear to be over seeded but are still very tight. Bunkers have lots of fresh sand. Will be back with the right Hot Deal.
