Golfer Reviews
Not A Good Choice
This course is very poorly managed and drastically overpriced. Slowest play around and just not worth the money. Choose one of the other far better choices in the Charlotte area and truth be known that would include all of the other choices. NO idea why so many people are wasting money at this course but they won't get any more of mine.
Double tee times!
On a Sunday they were sending groups off the front and back...creates a log jam at turn and a pleasant round becomes 5 1/2 - 6 hours. And they charge 99 bucks for this!
Wayyy overpriced
This course is way overpriced. So many other courses in the Charlotte area that charge $85 at most for weekend golf that are better. $109 is crazy for an average course.
Decent Course. Way Too Expensive
I've played this course for a few years now, and I've always liked it. However, the prices are getting a bit out of hand. I used to be able to justify paying $80 here a year or two ago (although that still felt a bit expensive for the quality of the course) and now they're charging a whopping $110! It's a decent course, but it's no where near worth paying $110. I can't justify paying that much for what is an average course in my opinion. I won't be playing here unless they decide to lower the prices or if the quality of the course increases so much that it's worth the price.
Way Overpriced
This course is priced far to high for the value received. The pace of play is slow and frustrating and there are simply many more options in this market that are far better.
Be transparent about the conditions of your course
Last time we played this course, the greens were in rough shape. We specifically called ahead and asked how they were. They said “the greens were fixed”. We get there, and they say “the greens were just punched, so we’re giving out 50% off coupons that must be used in the next 2 weeks!”
So we drove an hour to play a $100 round on punched greens because they lied to us. And then giving us a coupon that must be used in 2 weeks was almost a slap in the face on top of it.
Cool course layout, but my group was very with disappointed how they handled this situation.
Please take care of your course
Greens are as bad a green as I’ve ever experienced, in any state, bumpy roller coaster of death and sand throughout your entire round. Tee boxes are worse somehow, $45 too steep. Maybe worth a $20
Tough course
Very tough course for first time players. Elevation changes on most holes. Greens in great shape for winter golf. Rest of course not so good. Hard to get beverages. Pace over 4:30
Better than reviewed
No idea why this course has been rated at a 3.5 stars, it's WAY nicer than most. I've played a lot of the courses in the Charlotte/Fort Mill area and this course is definitely up there in terms of quality to cost ratio and is generally just a really fun layout. The practice facilities are great, good range and a comprehensive short game area; heck Queens College seems to use this course as their practice course. No idea where the hate comes from, if people think $40-60 is too pricey then they have no clue what the cost of the area normally looks like. Go play it, course is awesome.
Nice course, a little pricey
It is a good course with a good layout but the price is a bit high, and I didn't pay full price. It is a course that we play a few times a year because there are better deals out there which can be important when you are playing a couple of times a week. I still recommend playing the course.
