Pines at Woodmont Country Club
About
The Pines is one of two championship golf courses at Woodmont Country Club in Tamarac. It and the Cypress Course share a gently rolling landscape that is sprinkled with mature trees, which frame the views from the elevated tees. While they share the same terrain, the courses offer very different challenges. The lengthier Cypress requires both distance and accuracy while the Pines Course will get you thinking. It is a shot maker's course that will test a variety of skills. Course management is key as is a well thought out strategy for every hole. The layout features undulating greens and tree-lined fairways that also place a premium on accurate shot placement. In addition to the golf courses, Woodmont C.C. also has a driving range and two putting greens for golfers to use.

Great Layout
Greens were fast and well maintain. This course will punish you if you're not able to hit strategic placement shots and avoid trouble lies due to the variances in the terrain .
Always enjoy playing this course. The tee boxes need work Great Greens
Greens were just too dressed but still played well
Very nice track, great greens, pretty quick too
First time playing here and John one of the attendants drove to my car and left me the cart to load up on, what a nice, thoughtful start. Then they let me tee off 45 minutes early (as they have no range) and I played with two good players that knew the course. Had a great day, course is in excellent condition, enjoyed the greens, shot 79 and finished with the same ball I started with. Beer on the cart was ice cold, had one towards the end of the round. That was a good day !
A tale of 2 nines.
Played front 9 @ Cypress & then had to play the 9 hole Pines. Regarding the Pines, Not easy on the eyes & very tricky off the tee. No GPS was available so play was sort of blind & guess work yardages. Greens were good but seems more grainy. Aesthetically not pleasing & somewhat of a drive between holes. Hopefully it will be tidied up in due course & it’s affecting the rating of the course conditions. Cypress 18 is one star better.
Just tooooo slow
While I can really say this could be a 4 -5 star course, the day we played it took nearly 3 :15 minutes to play the back nine. Starting out, the first 5 holes were great then on six green we hit a six some on the green and it went all downhill from there. The sixsome then split to become two fivessones ahead of us and were really really slow. . I callled the clubhouse to inform them of the sixsome but never did see a ranger confront the group. . Again, I relay liked the course and conditions but day was ruined by slow play. . I would go back and hope for better results if in the area.
Great Greens
Best greens I’ve played for the year & I play many different courses.
A treat if you like putting.
Not To Be Taken Lightly
This course is NOT for beginner golfers. It is very challenging. A lot of water hazards are placed strategically throughout the course. You will need to be accurate off of the tee and less aggressive on the fairways. You will need to carry water on your 2nd shot on some holes. I hit right alot so this course gave me fits. The right side of most holes on this course are very wet. The greens are multi level and fast.
I recommend this course to 20 handicap or better players. Any golfers below that skill level, bring a lot of balls. You'll use all of them.
