Chicago Golf
Nice 9 holes course in Chicago. Right next to Lake Michigan. Greens are large and very receptive. Cost is very reasonable. I definitely would recommend this course for all skill levels. Will play it again the next time I visit Chicago and want to do a quick 9 holes.
Rough time for Sydney
Course is looking as rough as I’ve ever seen it this week. Probably a combo of no run and end of summer lots of play but it was pretty bad.
Almost everything on the fair was hitting off dirt. Perfect shots landed with awful lies everytime. Ground was hard.
Greens were punched with no warning when booking.
I’ve seen Sydney in good to great shape so I know it’s possible but right now it’s just beat.
Can’t beat getting home in 6 minutes after the round though. Worth it.
Could be a nice course with an investment
I will start with the negatives and try to end with the positive aspects of the course. The pace of play and overall course conditions (tee boxes, fairway grass, sand in the bunkers, and the greens) are poor at best. The tee boxes are not level. Ant mounds cover the fairways, and the grass has no depth. The sand is more like dirt with rocks. The greens are long and shaggy, and no one repairs the ball marks. On a positive note, the layout, location, and views of Lake Michigan are good. It is a course that has potential, but I will find other courses to play.
A bit confusing when first there. Parking? Drop off? Pro shop! But everyone very nice.

Fun course, just bad teetimes.
We booked a 7pm tee time assuming the course would be lit, and we'd be able to use carts but there was no warning on the website that 1 we wouldn't be able to use carts and 2 we would barely be able to get through 5 holes before it got too dark to see.

Beautiful course along the lake, spectacular views and good pace.
Awesome Course on the Lake
What a picturesque course. It will be a challenge to not get lost in the buildings and architecture. But when you lock into the course you will elevate your game play. Lost of well groomed greens your ball should rarely get lost.
Tee boxes are wide with lots of tee set up choices. I can’t wait to come back.
Also I hear they are open during the winter. Amazing!!
