This course has major potential and maybe after renovations it will be acceptable. The ground was way to hard on most holes and tee boxes were not in great condition either. The greens were in good condition but what good is that if you cannot get a divot on approach shot? Pace of play was not great either and waited on most holes watching the foursome in front of us spray their shots everywhere and play at a snails pace. The new clubhouse they are building looks very nice and if they also put money into actual course conditions I will be back.

Played championship course. Clubhouse is in temporary site as new one is being constructed. Pace of play on back nine especially was a little slow. The course is a really good set up and requires you to make shots. Greens have slope and are difficult to putt. All in all it is a nice course.

Really happy to see what's happening here. Instead of some golf courses giving up on maintenance, Colony West re-did tee boxes and greens. The greens were especially strong and fair. Now let's nail down the fairways next! I am also looking forward to the new clubhouse. There used to be a solid sports bar at Colony West in the old days, I hope they bring something like that back.

First time playing Colony West. I'll start by saying that their greens are good and consistent. They could be faster, but they are consistent. A lot of holes on the course are similar in layout (doglegs), however the slightly elevated greens with well placed bunkers on many holes make the approach shot visually appealing. Fairways we're dry in many spots and wet in others. Their new clubhouse is still under construction, but looks amazing, and can't wait to stay for a post-round beverage. Newer carts with USB ports (our USB ports didn't work). Staff very friendly. They could use a starter to create better pace of play. Course was very crowded, but we made it around in 4.5 hrs. Will come back to play again.

The layout is great, but the conditions were marginal. It looks like they are trying to improve things, but right now it is average at best. Greens were okay but shaggy. Very little rough. Fairways were okay. We were in the area for a week and played 6 different courses. This wouldn’t be on our replay list right now.
