Golfer Reviews
The greens were in good shape but extremely slow. Fairways for the most part were good but around the greens outside of the fringe were in rough shape. Also the tee boxes we’re ok but needed to be moved so the used section can grow back. From what I was told, the course is on the up in the past two years and would love to see this course back to tip top shape
Under repair
The greens were good, fairways acceptable, tee boxes subpar. The temporary pro shop is serviceable. It is a pain to hoof your clubs to and from the cart barn.
Always a Challenge
I’ve been able to play the champ course three or four times this year. Always love the challenge off the tee boxes. This course will make you either pinpoint your driver or hit a three iron or Threewood and work it left and right. Still lots of fun.
Greens are a little slow, but in pretty good shape.

Definitely be back
With the volume of players it is amazing that the course is kept in such good shape, weeds are hard to find on the greens that roll almost like glass, tee boxes are a little rough, but, most is us use a tee so it doesn't matter. Few fairways have bare spots and more weeds than desired, still able to get a clean connection. Overall well worth the money.
Needs improvement
Fairways, tees and greens were good. Sandtraps were all dirt, mud and rocks. Grass areas surrounding the greens were needing improvement. Pace of play was slow. No real clubhouse, just a temporary building. No rangers on the course to speed up play. Signage for next tee needed in a few places. Decent layout that was challenging, but the deficiencies took away from the overall enjoyment of the course.
Colony West Review
Greens were nice and a few of the water hole par 3s were also nicely set up.
Enjoyable Round
I have played the Champ Course many times over the last 25 years. It's still challenging and a lot of fun. Should be an awesome place once the Contruction is complete.
Greens were in good condition but a little slow
Fairways were in ok condition. Some bunkers had rocks in them and the sand was hard. Greens were in good condition but a little slow. A lot of lateral water on most holes. I like the old cypress trees. Some construction going on. The Proshop was in a temporary trailer. Staff were very friendly.. Pace of play was good. I would play here again.
