Tee shot on #8 par 3 Photo submitted by tmlo on 05/05/2013
Course condition
Tee box, fairways and greens in sub-par conditions.
Both courses are rough but staff is nice
Glades course is absolutely rough. Many greens have dead zones of pure soil instead of grass. The rough is very tall of uncut vegetation. The championship course which is there more expensive course that day we went was being ariated and one of the holes had a bust water pipe flooding the fairway. The 1st 9 holes at least 4 holes were all drilled fairways by the tractor.. Need to stay away for a few weeks until grass can cover up the fairway.
Slow pace
Single going out at 7:45 in the morning… ran into four players, by tee box #3 .. they wouldn’t let me through. Even after taking 20 minutes to play a par three and having me pull up
to at least four tee boxes before they hit their first drive. It is a slow time of the year and to be held up like that is insane
Going forward maybe somebody should be on the golf course to let people know it’s OK to let someone go through when you have nobody out in front of you for at least three holes…
Do better colony West
Kap Starts
Overall good course. Great fairways and a course I used my entire set of clubs with. I played for 40/pp with the online price - totally worth it.
I canceled this Teen Time to reschedule for the next day, and I still haven't gotten my money back. What should I do?
Slow pace of 7 hours. Poor Management. Terrible experience..
We called the caddie master several times to help speed up play, but there was no improvement. At one point, we even found a group of five players in front of us. After taking three and a half hours just to complete nine holes, we were given a rain check for the back nine to play on another day.
When we returned on a weekday to use the check, we were told that we could not simply play nine holes, but instead would have to pay for another nine in order to complete 18. Since we arrived around 5:00 p.m., finishing 18 holes was not possible. The staff member in the golf shop explained that this was management policy.
We have been playing golf for over 20 years and have never experienced this kind of treatment at any course. It was very disappointing and reflects poorly on how the course manages pace of play and customer srvices. If you want to have a nice day of golf, never choose this golf course.
Not back in the top 100 public courses yet.
Used to be the place to play back in the day. Some tee boxes and spots on the fairways need work, all sand. Greens had a lot of weedy spots and were slow. Great layout, but the awesome new clubhouse doesn't make up for simple fixes needed on the course. Bring halfway back to what it was and you'll have something again.
Colony West Champs course
greens were very dry and unstable, rough was horribly high
Lost appeal
Play several times years ago or condition now of let it go down. It’s just too bad because it was a really nice golf course.
