The Cypress Course at Woodmont Country Club in Tamarac is named after the mature trees that line the fairways and frame the views from the elevated tees. The course measures 7,043 yards and features undulating greens that are a challenge too with carefully shaped contours that are subtle but tricky. It is a golf course that requires not only distance, but also accuracy and a good course management.

Smooth Bermuda Greens
Cypress Course has rebuilt back 9, and front 8 is next. Grass was trimmed close on fairway and rough. Moderate difficulty. Nice folks. New Clubhouse under construction.
Makes you hit every club in your bag
Greens were fast. Experience will be much better when new clubhouse opens.

Fairways and greens in excellent condition. Better then many other courses around.
Great value and layout
We were pleasantly surprised to find this local course which we hadn’t played before. It was nice to escape the crowded courses and enjoy a stress free day at Woodmont. The layout was interesting, with a variety of water holes and approaches. The greens were medium fast and in good shape. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We will return!
A Course that stays the test of time.
I’ve been playing the Cypress course at Woodmont on and off for over ten years. The course delivers about the same experience every time. Course is in good shape, but no wow factors. That said, current conditions are about the same as Inverrary, they beat Woodlands, Eagle Trace, Palm Aire, Colony West which are their local competitors. The greens are Very hard and fast right now and in pretty good shape. Fairways are very tight lies and 1/2 the Tee boxes need attention. They are building a new clubhouse and rec area. Hopefully they save some of that money and bring all the little details and surrounding areas on the course back to where they should be. That would greatly improve the experience. Pace of play was as expected for a Thursday in December. Cart attendants were very nice and did a great job.
Perfect Day
Played a great round , perfect weather enjoyed the round and played well. Always helps.
First Time at Woodmont
Found this course on a Hot Deal yesterday. Had never played here before, but I will certainly be back. The course conditions were fairly typical for a South Florida course. Some areas with St. Augustine rough and some bare spots around trees. The greens were hard and fast, with the back 9 having been recently replaced. There were some holes that were more difficult because we had not been there before. Some of the water was hard to see, but overall, it was a great experience. We teed off at 11 am on a Saturday morning and were able to play as a twosome without catching anyone in front of us the entire round. While I personally did not play well, it was still a very enjoyable experience.

Great course and pace of play was excellent. Under 4 hours. Greens are real fast. Staff are exceptional

Challenging Cypress course
I enjoy the course for years now, it is very challenging for an intermediate golfer like me. The course condition was top shape. The weather was a bit hot but still perfect for a golf at the Cypress.
Enjoyed
We played this coarse now twice and enjoyed our round. We will Congo play and look forward to it’s nw club house opening. The coarse is in great shape. People are nice .
Disappointing
They are building a new clubhouse. The current wasin bad decay and the washroom area is disgusting.m
The greens were decent but the tee area was in bad need of being cut. The bunkers all appeared to have large stones in them and the edges needed grooming. There was no course Marshall so the two slow groups ahead of us did their own thing.
Overall better options in the area.
