Crescent Oaks Country Club
About
Located just north of Tampa in Tarpon Springs, Crescent Oaks Country Club sprawls across rolling hills dotted with sparkling lakes. The narrow course has a traditional layout that was carefully carved from dense woodlands, making it a challenging test. The lakes as well as a meandering creek come into play throughout the golf course. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. The par-5 10th is one of the most memorable holes with an elevated green and a ridge cutting across the middle. Par is considered a good score on this tricky hole. The golf course finishes with a par-4 dogleg left that features water along the entire left side of the fairway. The green is also protected by sand on the right and water on the opposite side.

love this course
play this course a lot
staff is great
course is great
pace of play tad bit slow but not a big game changer
Beat the rain
Played the course with the prospect of rain. Didn't seem to mean much to the groups in front. Just got the last hole in as the groups ahead disappeared for their rain checks. Course was OK but pace of play was what we'll remember
Always enjoyable
We always enjoy playing at Crescent Oaks. The course is always in good condition, people at Pro Shop are friendly. Foursomes are courteous for twosomes and let us go through without hesitation.
Good value.
It's a nice and well maintained course. Everything about it is good. Not spectacular, but really good. You won't be dissepointed.
Nice course for all different level
I played twice during this week at this course. First time. Very good value for the money. very friendly staff, and course upkeep is good as evidenced by the presence of the ground staffs and watering during the day. Greens are in very good shape for this time of year.
There were some groups jumping back and forth to the back and front of my group during both days. I was a bit annoyed at the lack of etiquette , but they did not cause an issue with pace of play, so my annoyance quickly faded.
Definitely will play here again.
Amazing Condition
With the lack of rain this staff has made this a great place to play. Greens are true and fast.
Most friendly staff from counter guy to starter.
WILL DEFINITELY PLAY HERE AGAIN.
PS-3 hr 15 minutes!!!!
A nice surprise!
Considering the lack of rain in our area I found Crescent Oaks to be in good condition. The greens were very good and rolled quite true with a surprising pace. The rough was not to penal if one missed the ample size fairways. The bunkering layout is very strategically place throughout the golf course and several bunkers are somewhat deep and quite punishing to get out of much like one might find in Ireland or Scotland.
Overall I found the golf course most playable and enjoyable. The restaurant inside the clubhouse had an excellent selection of food choices and cold beverages. My lunch choice was very well prepared and the service personnel in the restaurant were very pleasant.
Course is in great shape. Lots of water! Rolling 11-12 on the stimp. However, I left a 48° Titleist Vokey wedge on the back of the 18th green at 6pm and nobody snaked it. The pro shop called me and told me he found it in the morning. Kudos to Crescent Oaks, and kudos to golfers with integrity!
Great value
Expected more from a four star course very interesting layout with many traps found several of them
Conditions were dry due to the drought but most greens were in very good condition all were puttable
will play again
Maybe with a couple Inches of rain conditions will improve
Good time
Had a great day thanks to playing well at my own pace. I was able to go out and pay at a quick pace in between groups since the twosome I was supposed to show were late and the starter was good with that. . Course is narrow and fairly short from white tees so longer tees may be better. Everyone helpful and friendly . Course in decent shape and greens a bit slow but considering it is a middle of a drought happy with everything.
Nice course for the money
I enjoyed the layout, the course was extremely dry due to lack of rain but all things considered it was pretty good. The greens were in pretty good shape and pretty quick. I will definitely play it again.
Found the course employees to be inconsiderate. We all agree to that and mentioned it to them following our round. Also fairway grass was pretty spotty on most holes. Don't know as I'll be back.
rude unfriendly staff
Crescent oaks is a nice well maintained course. But every time I play there I am made to feel less then welcomed. Today was the last straw we were a forsome and had played 15 holes in 3 hours when one of their Marshalls came up to us and said we needed to pick up the pace. He also said we were falling behind the two some in front of us. If you don't mind being treated poorly go there. For me there are to many other choices near by that welcome my business so I won't be back .
Better Than Working
Took the day off to go golfing with my son-in law. Great pace on front nine, back nine a little slow, two foursomes emerged out of nowhere, still played under four hours. Greens were solid, fairways ok, a little thin. solid value will return.
Thanks
VERY ENJOYABLE
ONLY PROBLEM WAS A FEW BARE SPOTS IN THE ROUGH. GREENS OUTSTANDING AND FAIRWAYS IN GOOD CONDITION. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS TO LOCATE WHERE THE CARTS AND PRO SHOP WAS , A FEW SIGNS WOULD HELP. LOCATION OF TEES MAKE THE COURSE PLAYABLE FOR ALL SKILLS!
Tournament caused SLOW play
Fun course when play is normal speed. There was a tournament and they had 6 to 8 players on a tee. Extremely slow to the point we left around the 14th hole.
Fun Course
Beautiful course, well layed out, lits of water and sand, very friendly staff, will definitely be backm
