About
Wentworth Golf Club is routed through a scenic and varied landscape of woods and wetlands. At 6,459 yards, the golf course is relatively short but it offers a demanding, target-style layout. The course has narrow fairways and small greens that run fast. The front nine is routed through towering stands of cypress trees, pines, and mature oaks while the back nine has a more links-style layout that will test your shot-making skills. Water hazards come into play on several holes but the far more prominent features of the course are the massive bunkers that lurk beside the fairways and greens, ready to swallow even slightly errant shots. Careful strategy is required throughout the course in order to avoid losing balls. In addition to the challenging layout, Wentworth G.C. boasts superb conditions that are considered some of the area's best.

Regular Winter Golfers
The tees and greens were in pretty good shape, but the fairways and rough were "Florida winter" ... thus not good for short game use of wedges. The back nine was extremely slow, so much that we quit on #17.

Wishful
The course layout is very tight with lots trees, water & bunkers. The fairways are in poor condition. The greens are in nice shape. Wish it played better.

Tough course
I haven’t played well at the course either time this season. Struggling to keep balls straight and there’s a lot of hazard areas and several greens are small. Difficult for mid handicap players. Also on this past visit a group (I assume members drove ahead of us without asking which is not good etiquette! There was no where for them to go ahead because there was a group close in front of us. We then had to wait for them to clear the par 3 green as well as the group originally in front of us.

Bad bunkers
It was rainy and course was obviously fairly wet.
Wet or dry though this course has some of the worst bunkers in the area. Not really sand in most of them but fluffy, loamy dirt like. Many have a lot of small stones, gravel too.
Some of the bunkers do have a more sand like condition. Very inconsistent.

Course is challenging
Course was in horrible shape, very disappointing. Regardless of rate , I doubt I’ll ever play there again ..

Bad condition
1st Playing this course. The greens were in really good shape and running fast even in the cold windy conditions. Other than that it was in poor shape. Tee boxes were beat up and uneven. Lies in the fairway were sometimes bare. This course needs a lot of work.
