Wentworth Golf Club is routed through a scenic and varied landscape of woods and wetlands. At 6,459 yards, the golf course is relatively short but it offers a demanding, target-style layout. The course has narrow fairways and small greens that run fast. The front nine is routed through towering stands of cypress trees, pines, and mature oaks while the back nine has a more links-style layout that will test your shot-making skills. Water hazards come into play on several holes but the far more prominent features of the course are the massive bunkers that lurk beside the fairways and greens, ready to swallow even slightly errant shots. Careful strategy is required throughout the course in order to avoid losing balls. In addition to the challenging layout, Wentworth G.C. boasts superb conditions that are considered some of the area's best.

Greens were green, but slow and a little bumpy. Green approaches were not smooth, so putting from off the green was problematic. Layout was good, but conditioning less so. Could be very good if better maintained.

Sadly, Wentworth not as good as it was under previous ownership

Wentworth was always on the top of my list but I can already see deterioration since new ownership has taken over. Staff reductions have resulted in lower quality of play. We arrived an hour early to prep at the range and putting green. We were told that there were no range balls available since he was working the desk, he couldn’t go out and gather the balls for our use. Really? Poor employee staffing results in Loss of income to the course and motivates me to go elsewhere.

Mediocre

Greens are in good shape. Lots of dirt where grass should be on the edges of the fairway and rough. Pretty right course. Don’t expect to hit driver a lot. Youre hitting off mats at the range.

Great Overall Experience

This was our first time playing Wentworth and we were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and overall playing conditions. Jack, the starter, went above and beyond to make sure we were given the full-experience of Wentworth, making sure we had the course booklet and allowing us to play the front 9, even just after aeration. Afterward we sat on the patio outside of Mulligan's and had lunch and watched the golfers. Lunch was delicious, the service was great, and it was the perfect end to a very nice day at the golf course. I will definitely be back!
